Affiliates and Affiliation
Mario Affiliates

One of the best Mario information sites ever, it is THE wiki to use when you want information on anything to do with the Mario series. No joke, I found out a heck of a lot due to this site, including information about all kinds of obscure TV shows, cartoons, comics and books. As well as minor stuff about the game characters, levels and enemies I never knew. Seriously, this site pretty much was how I actually learn anything about what happened in the Super Mario Bros Super Show, Super Mario Bros 3 Show and Super Mario World Show. A must visit.
This Mario site has been temporarily suspended. Hopefully they will be back sooner rather than later.
An awesome but somewhat underappreciated clan which needs more support and members to reach the status of the Blue Diamond Clan and Infinite Blue Clan. Covers all wifi games.
Great resource for learning about the various enemies in the Mario series as well as seeing some pretty neat fan art of them.
Another Mario fan site.
Lemmy's Land
An extremely long going fan site about the Mario series from the viewpoint of the Koopalings, children of Bowser. Has plenty of interesting and unusual content, is only large Koopaling fan site around.
A site dedicated to Bowser. Which you don't see very often.
Another excellent Mario Kart fan site with plenty of content and potential.
Wario Affiliates
The only Warioware Touched fan site. And one of the only Wario fan sites in general that exists still.
Legend of Zelda Affiliates
Excellent Legend of Zelda humour site with satire and comics. Will lighten your mood when visited.
A Legend of Zelda and gaming fan site.
Zelda Oracles is now an affiliate! Always a good site, if a little strange in how it's got that address for a such named site... Either way, check it out!
A very well respected Legend of Zelda site with plenty of content, active community etc. It's changed a lot over the years though, because I remember many different layouts and content styles in the past. Either way, visit it now!
Other Nintendo and Gaming
GS Central is a brilliant site for Action Replay and Gameshark codes for all manner of Nintendo games. Yeah, it does have less than it once had, but that is only because of a few minor technical problems and needs your support to get hugely popular again. And if you need convincing that this site is an excellent resource, I personally get codes from there and have done so since the Gamecube era.
A videogame music site run by a loyal member of the DS Ultimate forums.
An excellent resource for easter eggs and miscellaneous Nintendo information. A slow to start website that now has a loyal following.
One of the largest Super Smash Bros fan sites around.
Friend's Forums (Members from DS Ultimate)
Another excellent (certainly fast growing compared to Gentendo, Gamerzone and 1337 games) forum, this time managed by DSU member Pills. It's a nice place, looks a nice forum and needs all the help it can get!
Another Nintendo forum, this time owned by mariowings77 from the DS Ultimate forums. It's a relatively nice place, has the same general members as DSU does and it needs your support to become popular!
The most professional and active Piczo site around, run by the cousin of the DS Ultimate administrator.
Note: The member called Mojo runs said site
Gentendo
Gentendo is now dead, and his mentioned here as a pretty much memory.
Not Affiliates but Great Sites!
Mario Sites
Either the best or second best Mario fan site in the world. A great resource, seemingly the most popular one and highly recommended. Seriously, visit it.
An excellent site dedicated to Mario Party DS, this has a good amount of screenshots, board maps, high scores and mini game ideas. It also seems to have a really active forum, so check it out today!
A long time site dedicated to the Mario kart series.
A different kind of Mario fan site Which seems to have niche content in some aspects.
Legend of Zelda Sites
Quality Guidelines
No hit-count or domain requirement. A good site could just as easily be hosted on Geocities for all I care, and a good site doesn't always mean an active site, as many of the best have actually quite few visitors because they are not the mainstream kind of website.
Your site must have over 5 pages unless I know you otherwise. In English, don't come to me with anything on Myspace, and your site must have some content to be accepted. This means good, decent sized chunks of relatively unique information though, not 1 sentence pages saying 'Coming soon'.
Layout must be useable. This means that average Joe must be able to use the site without thinking too much. In English, it's more difficult for sites using frames to fall under this, and sites done purely in Flash, Shockwave, Java or Javascript with no alternative way around the site or content for those without plugins/with Javascript off will be refused. I am a fan of Useit and Webpages That Suck though, so expect me to judge it against their quality guidelines for useability.
No GIMMICKS WHATSOEVER! Excuse the shouting, but I just want to say that I want no fancy pointless tricks or the like. This includes GIF Animations, pointless Flash usage, Splash or Doorway pages (unless you are already an ally), no java on non labelled pages, nothing flying around the cusor, no status bar text and no right click disabling. Oh, and just to let you know, FireFox, which I sometimes use can disable right click protection, replace status bar text, stop window re-sizing, etc. So it's useless anyway.
Finally, I don't care how much money you've spent, as it's YOUR site. I don't care whether you have free hosting or dedicated server, phpBB or vBulletin for forums, Paint or Photoshop. Do what you like, as it makes no difference.
Extra and Rather Important Notes
If you have a redirect that ends in .cjb.net, please tell me the real site address. I have a downright refusal to go near that cursed website again in my life, as I used to go there and end up having to run virus scans to get rid of spyware and adware.
If you hosted on CJB.net, please either give an alternatively hosted version of your site as the link or I will likely refuse affiliation or link exchanges.
Forums are not websites. Blogs are not real websites. Groups are not real websites. If you have any one of those as your site, do not even both asking as it is unfair to those who have actually tried to make a real website. Note that this means sole Invisionfree/Proboard/Ezboard forums equals instant affiliation rejection in a microsecond. I do not care unless you offer high traffic amounts, and most requests are instantly rejected.
I do not like tactics which are harsh on guests and force registration to view content. As the paragraph below this says, such sites will be rejected from affiliation. This also includes making the topics themselves private but not the forums, making the forums private but not the board index, login to view hosted sites, login/register to view content which you have no idea what it's about, usage of the limited guest viewing hack, lockdown hack (in public forums) or site's not online at the time said visit occurs.
If you force people to pay, be over 18, or register to view your site content, I refuse to be an affiliate and will simply delete your request. Thank you.
