Beta Article 2
Okay, the last beta article covered beta and glitched levels from all kind of games. But thanks to the right Action Replay codes, I can bring you more information and screenshots on tons more beta levels! Read below and be amazed at the newer beta worlds you can explore!
Beta Fire Mountain
To the left is a map of the Beta fire mountain cave exterior. You walk through a hallway destroying barriers, then across lava while avoiding fire keese then up some stairs. That's as far as you can go, so go back to the entrance and exit via the purple light.
The above picture is of Link in the Fire Mountain beta area.
And the picture below is of Link by the barricades you have to smash down:
Link is by the entrance. Behind him is the light to the surface.
Go into the light to appear at Fire Mountain in the normal game world.
Beta Test Dungeon One:
This is a dungeon, which has multiple rooms. In the middle room, there is a large pile of crates, and you can hookshot up to get just one rupee.
Then, in one room, there are 3 Armos and some pots. Kill them to get out the room. In the next there are 3 Armos Knights. kill them as well to get out.
The other two rooms are clones of the ones above, so beat the enemies as usual. If you go into the treasure room, there's just a treasure chest which has been opened which suggest a triforce chart would have been within.
Go to the first room and into the light to appear at Stone Watcher Island.
Beta Test Dungeon 2
This dungeon is odd. You first have to hit two skull switches to open 1 door, then fight a Bokoblin. Hit the next switches to open another door with one Bokoblin. Kill it to reveal tons more switches. Two new rooms have slightly tougher Bokoblins. There's no treasure and no way out.
This is a picture of that dungeon. And it's all in pitch black darkness with no lighting.
Test Room
This is just a blank room normally, but using with certain codes can make any enemy appear inside.
The cool ones:
Phantom Ganon- He's invincible and can take any hit you throw at him. Oh, and I tried the light arrows to no positive effect.
Summoner Wizrobe- I found he only summons either five keese, two magtails or both at the same time. Then throws fireballs.
Ganondorf- Cool fight, and you must parry a lot. Note that when you are near him, enemy music plays and when away, the music from the final battle plays. Oh, and he always walks like his in water.
Wow, you are fighting Ganon without Zelda in an empty room.
Fire light arrows and you can also stun him.
Alternate Fire Temple Layouts:
Forest- This layout has a passageway filled with trees, then a large arena area with grass where red chuchus appear. Exiting the area freezes the game.
Sand- There's a couple of blocks and a pot in the middle of the area with 50 rupees in. You can exit the area back to the Great Sea (forgot the island), so hold L and Y while exiting and keep collecting those 50 rupees for quick money.
Wind- The hallway has a hurricane blowing through it, so use the iron boots. Apart from a big room afterwards, there's nothing else here.
Puzzles- There are some Bokoblins in pots in the hall, then a large maze. Within the maze, there are switches, an eye switch and a switch surrounded by fire. There's also an unbreakable box for no purpose whatsoever. The other end has the steps blocked by statues and there's a moblin. You can light the torches at the end but nothing happens.
Fight area- Two Bokoblins are in this room with a chest and pillars. Then, two more appear. Kill them and a moblin appears and the kangarocs that bring it in attack as well! Exiting crashes the game.
Water- Just a flooded hallway and arena. You can't get into the normal exit room, and swimming there makes you go to the Islet of Steel.
Stone Moblin statue- A blank but dark room with one moblin statue on the wall which shoots laser beams.
