My Latest Rant
No, this is not what you expected, an argument about my personal opinion about SSMT and how it is valid, or some advert for a new website. This is to hopefully stop the pointless arguing about the legality.
I will not actually argue in this topic, as that establishes nothing but makes it worse. What I will say is this important Philosophical point which applies to the constant SSMT arguments on this message board:
'When people hold strong beliefs, it is very difficult for others to change them because they can explain away any contradiction in reason or evidence'
Basically, what that means in this case, is that 'anti-snakers' and 'snakers' cannot change their opponents opinions on the subject. This is because, in their refusal to think outside the box of their opinion, their opponents will argue down anything that is used against them, whether it be scientific evidence, articles on sites and in magazines, opinions or proof they contradicted their own argument. Therefore, there is no way to change other people's opinons. As in many sayings, you can never win an argument.
Secondly, and on a different topic, when someone finishes a guide and writes Copyright [name here] 2006 or whatever, do not say that they cannot copyright the guide. According to copyright laws, anything ever published or written in any form is automatically protected by copyright, and will be so until the author is dead for 50 years. You do NEVER have to register the copyright for it to be protected, unlike trademarks.
I would also like to add one more thing. Please, just stop making clans, and message boards. The community for Mario Kart DS is already split up and small enough and we do not need it to become any more separated. If you want an online presence, try a website, or at least a blog. Message Boards, Chat Rooms and even blogs are not real websites, and many people I have spoke to hate them because of that. Plus, you will have many more established opponents if you try to run yet another forum.
