List of Dragon's Den Winners

Now if you want to really know why there's a list here, it's rather simple; I watch the program, sometimes want to know what happened to those who won and the BBC sites pretty much purge old information after a year when the new series starts. Typical Program Structure

First of all, before the actual program structure, if you're clicking the information button on a Sky TV remote, don't take all the investments given as the ones which detail is given about in the program. They have on some ocassions given investments which got little more than a passing mention.

Secondly, there are always between three and four major pitches that are shown in detail during the program, and out of those, only one or two will get investments. Indeed, it's very common that the middle ones will simply be for joke or entertainment value, and their existance is simply to watch people laugh as the dragons call said ideas completely crazy.

The first investment is often a deal, but in a few cases is not taken, usually because said person does not like the percentage offered and soon realises how hard it actually is to bargin with the dragons on this program.

The final one is ALWAYS an investment, although the last few have been rather sneaky at pushing any hope of an investment to roughly three seconds before the program is due to end, likely to stop people switching over after anything of importance (and unlike the ad supported other channels, the BBC is very keen to run programs on schedule to the exact minute the program is due to finish, from the exact moment it starts.

On another random finishing note, it does also seem that the very last pitch is often one that's for a more minor product than the earlier ones, and that would usually be played for comedy somewhere in the middle of the program, likely to increase suspense for the viewers. These last pitches often end with long, drawn out discussions in which the earlier ones don't show, almost as a way of making people think there won't actually be an investment until the time slot is up.

Note

I enjoy the program personally, none of the above is really that bad a thing, and it does happen to show a lot of potentially great inventions and businesses and is probably the most entertaining program based on the topic of business.
