NintenDan's Article 6- DS Ultimate

Well, here I am with the 6th edition. It seems like it's only been 3 weeks since I first started writing these but it seems as if, assuming that I've uploaded one every week, it has been 6 weeks instead.

I've got some updates to make now, so listen up. First of all, and most importantly for that matter, The NDW Mailbag has been shut down. Yes, it failed to attract a decent amount of numbers, so I won't be answering those questions so many people sent in. (I think cheat-master30 was the only one to have some questions). Secondly, I'm overhauling the name of The NDW entirely and dedicating it to my favourite character, Shy Guy. The Weekly Article will now be called The SGW, "The Shy Guy Weekly". Plus, I made a much cooler logo for The SGW rather than The NDW. Personally, I think it's got a better ring to it, don't you agree?

Moving away from that, I have an announcement:

I beat the Flopside Pit of 100 Trials in Super Paper Mario! Twice! That means not only do I get bragging rights (even though it took me long enough to find the motivation to do it), I also get unlimited 3-D Flipping! (That's Mario's technique in the game). So yes, I was pretty proud. But alas, no Shy Guys. Even though there were Shy Guys in the original Paper Mario for N64...

Moving away from moving away...

Not much has happened recently in terms of game playing. The Wii Fit is going okay even though my interest with it is dwindling, just as predicted. I have got 1 kilogram to go until I reach my goal, though. That's very good to hear! I did start playing some nostalgia however. I hooked up the SNES Gameboy Player and ventured through my oldest game collection of the GameBoy Games. Yes, those black and white ones.

*Coughs retardedly*

Sorry, I just saw this Permenant marker and I smelt it by accident. Now that disgusting smell is up my nose...

Back to the GameBoy, I started off with Super Mario Land 2: The Six Golden Coins. Sadly I returned to find my data had been wiped. So I played in an attempt to restore it. I was halfway when I stopped for the night. I turned it on again to find that my data in which I got to halfway had been wiped. "Great", I thought. I played the first level, switched it off, and switched it back on. The data was still there. "Okay, so it does have an auto save thingo", I realised. I played to halfway again, even more perhaps. The next time I returned, BAM! Data was erased again. That's when I stopped playing that virtually 'now pointless' classic and jumped to Donkey Kong. This was like the Donkey Kong Arcade, in fact, it had those famous levels, except this had over 90 new and fresh levels to master. It was a Mario Puzzle Adventure pretty much. Great fun. Mario could do backflips, hand stands, it was amazing. And the tricks were so easy to pull off as well. After that, I turned to Wave Race for GameBoy. 5 minutes and I was gone. I never liked that game. It was so... lacking in terms of things to do.

2 days passed and I relived memories, this time with the Nintendo DS. I played New Super Mario Bros. That is a good game, no matter how many people hated it for shortness or easiness. Those coins weren't the easiest to get, I must say. The Underwater music was so nice too. After that, Mario Hoops 3 on 3 was on. Gollies that game is fun. I'm trying to master my ultimate team. So far I've got Paratroopa as a center, with Bowser Jr. and Fly Guy on either side. As much as I like Fly Guy, he's a bit hard to control. Perhaps I just need to learn the game better. I might do that, actually. I'll get real good... and then I'll rule the world! MWAHAHAHAHA!

Well, not much else to talk about. It truly was a bit of a boring week in terms of games. But I have a new goal. Some may remember I made a Model Nintendo DS for a school assignment. Well, I've got another Modelling assignment, but the Teacher said he'd like something less electronic and more, well, manual controlled. This means screws, bolts, that sort of stuff. I was stuck, and had a think. At first I would make a Hamster Cage, but that went. Then it was a Ferris Wheel, but that'd be too big a job to make it realistic. As in, put all the screws in the darn Wheel. I was sitting on my bed just about to hop in it for sleepy-bye time when there it was. Standing on all of it's three wooden legs... can you guess what it was? If you really paid attention you would know it's related to something I got last year for my birthday...

Give up? Well, I got a telescope for my birthday. But because that one was soooo big and heavy and only for tough observing as I call it, instead I had the smaller, lightweight and practical telescope set up for the nightly moon and planet observations. "Of course!" I exclaimed in my head! "I can make my telescope! It has screws and the like!".

So I started off by quickly sketching all of the screws and the like needed to assemble my telescope. I've started with the Tripod for now. I'll work on the actual optical tube and the like when there's nothing else left.

That was probably the high point of this silent week. Remember, there's one more week left of "The Great NintenDan Weight Inflate" so stay tuned to see if I get to my goal! Other than that, I'll leave you with a small but strong word of advice this time...

"Shy Guys are shy. Are you a Shy Guy? Hmmm? Well?"
