Should there be a DS Ultimate online clan for some games?

In a now not so private message, Lonestar said he may make a clan on this game called DS Ultimate, so this poll will be a decision on whether it is a good idea. I do not mind or care if there is on non Nintendo Wifi games, but as long as it does not become an all round clan forum I will allow it. This is simply because the amount of clans in Nintendo Wifi games is too large at the moment.

A clan is a group of people who play certain online games and compete against other clans like some kind of club. Like the Blue Diamond Clan for Nintendo Wifi games.

P.S. I personally do not like the Blue Diamond Clan as I think any site requiring registration to view many forums is basically online fraud. I know, I have not got round to publishing the article yet, but it is a annoyance to me.

I would agree here except some forums do need to have certain fourms hidden from reguler guest. but for gaming fu**** I don't see any reason to hide forums..

Neither do I. I hate how Gamespot and IGN make you pay to access forums and view guides though, especially when both are affiliated with great, more honest sites with free guides and forums (Gamefaqs and Gamespy network).

That is so true of IGN. It offer Insider only icons and media, dedicated forums, and then ANOTHER paid account level with more features. I would rather be a member of Gamefaqs with equal features and less stuff than pay money to use a forum. Besides, the cost cannot be that high, and I know, because I'm running a version of vBulletin!

yep I thats true. Theres alot of pleaces you have to have to buy a supcription for just to look at the site.. that really buged me.. it makes me not really want to join the site..

Exactly right for me. That's why I prefer reading more open websites, not so biased into thinking money is everything.

I don't care either way, however, I don't play a lot of online games. If its with DSU, and non obessive clans, I'm fine to a point. However, if drama comes from the whole clan thing (I had one when 2 clans fought for me as queen...I really, really, really, really, REALLY, hated that).

Really, it doesn't matter either way, BUT I know eventually there will be drama about the clan. So I'd be in a clan for a short while until a clan war begins...

And, when they die and the next battle rolls around? Theres no strategy behind that kind of move. Lure them in with the lesser troops, retreat, flank with the elite corps, pummel their morale and troop count, claim victory.

For the sake of the topic, if the game has an official 'clan/group/w/e' system, sure, why not?
