What are some good games for the PS2? Now that they're cheaper and I've got giftcards from x-mas I'm planning on getting one for my room as a DVD/Game player.

I already plan on buying these:
Star Wars: Battlefront II
any Dynasty Warriors
the Final Fantasys
probably a Gran Turismo


anything else?

ah I wouldn't recommned final fantasy 10.. its ur choice thou I personal hated it.
Dynasty Warriors is great fun :) play that hours on end..

I'd suggest buying these dynasty Warriors:

DW4 (great fun some of the best music in the seirs)
DW4XL (I still need to buy this...)
DW4E(this one maybe not...)

DW5
DW5XL
DW5E(this one is much better the DW4E IMO)

I have The Third Age on GC, but I haven't beaten it yet. I can't even remember where I am. I know I got to a Village where you have to fight Urukai(I think that's how you spell it) and Wild men or mountain men, whatever they're called. I die so quickly for some reason, as if I missed a long point in the game where I'm supposed to do so me serious leveling up.


Well thanks for all the suggestions, but I decided to just save up for a Wii, I'll probably get one in April.

Yeah, good choice there. The Wii does look like it will have some amazing games.

I talked with someone that's an IGN insider, and they said there was an article about the Wii being able to play DVD come April or May. I remember seeing this on Next Generation Gaming board at GameFAQs, so hopefully its true. If so, I'll be getting my Wii right when it's able to play DVDs and I'll still get free internet service. We'll also be upgrading to DSL this spring so that'll be good for my Wii and DS.

Might I add Samurai Worriors is "harder" then Dynasty Warriors.... well kinda SW takes more stratag to beat you can't always just run and kill people in DW 99% of the time you can just run an kill people :)

yes its just like DW only its based on the Waring states era of Japan and DW is based on the Three kingdoms era in china

Not a big fan of the "kill people" games that are graphic either. Eg. Blood and stuff.

But my friend said you can shoot hookers and then have "you know what" with their dead bodies... Or maybe it was another game... Weird, but funny!

:) Idk.. I never did that... u can before you kill em.. but not after... as far as I know... but Rockstar is promoting Necrophilia... thats... eww..

but this place may have younger peoples so we can stop it at that :)

another game you might wanna try is Wild Arms 3 it was alot of fun.

As I said early Dark Cloud is a really good game. If you like advnture games and city building sims this games prolly for you.
