View Full Version : Is there a conspiracy?

As in, why Nintendo never seems to realise how many people have lost save data because of the flaws in the game cards? I mean, this thing happens in a TON of Nintendo made games on the DS, but I never get any messages about it, nor does anyone for Nintendo announce it.
Example:
Many people have had Mario Kart DS game data get corrupted.
My Warioware Touched game data disappeared and then reappeared later.
New Super Mario Bros game stopped saving randomly then had an error on game load the next time around. Did something with the game card and everything was fine.
My cousin lost all data on his Super Mario 64 DS game for no reason.
Metroid Prime Hunters had that gaping hole, that error which caused percentage using names to exploit some sort of mathematical program in the game code. They stopped such names from being used online, but the names actually changed things about the license and other such information.
The amount of random, debug related glitches and such in the games, such as how the hats in Snowman's Land multiply until the game crashes and falls apart, or forever in a certain version.
I personally think it's a DS catridge flaw personally, but any ideas?

it probabaely is a conspiracy look the ds lite i have a FEELING nintendo made that gba slot for the gba games to stick out so they get broken easier that way nintendo wont fix em coincidence?
or the fact the original ds ahd a design flaw and the hinge would snap off as did mine.

Wouldn't be surprising, and I know, although this position is strange, but I want an intelligent discussion, that's why I brought up this discussion. Still, back to the point.

Maybe I'm just lucky for I have never had ONE glitch in my two years of DS gaming. I never had a single hick-up, load failure, or lost data. Maybe American DS' are better? That's my only guess, since, quite frankly it is anyone's guess!

I guess its random. The name glitch was bad though.

That's not the conspiracy. The number 255 and Nintendo is a conspiracy.
I had a whole agument in my head about how it is, but I forgot it.

It's not strange. *Head explodes*
I had an argument that went beyond the coin limit in SM64DS/SM64, but I forgot. Grr.

there making games more fragile now the ds game packs are "naked" on the back i mean...about the datat thing...i know i was reading np magazine and someone said he went to tunr on mother 3 and all of his saved files were gone! i guess old systems ware out and nintnedo said it is ok get a gcn cause the memeory cards alot LONGER quote "longer"
why not forever cheat are they not capable of making them last forever?
i mean...id make the perfect system but even me and my mom joked about this id be fired the first day why? if i put everything in one the couldent make a sale anymore.

Because the cost would be too high.

My brother lost ALL his mario kart ds data.
Nintendo should have taken more security measures, as data becomes more dense, it is easier to damage, look at what sony has done to their blu ray discs, they put a protective coating on because it would obviously be more prone to data corruption. Nintendo should have at least put something on them little yellow/gold bits, so it wouldn't get damaged.
My theory is true, because my destruction derby(ps1 CD) disc had loads of scratches, but it works flawlessly. My Gran turismo 3 disc(ps2 dvd) has one or two scratches and it won't play anymore. :( (that might be my very old ps2 though)

So as games are getting more advanced, they also get corrupted easier? Maybe, although that really doesn't explain how glitched up Pokemon Red and Blue were...

screwed up? Sometimes my data just went *poof* when I used the Transfer Pak with Pokemon Blue for Pokemon Stadium. It just kept on dying. Also, I found an interesting way to get all 3 starter Pokemon without actual trading in Pokemon Blue!

Trade them to Stadium with the transfer pack, restart and repeat?

Or you could always use glitches. Either put your name as something which causes the two starters you did not pick to appear while surfing on the edge of Cinnabar island, or use the Mew glitch to catch them at level 7.
