Yes, one of the new abilities is that to become electrical and charge through enemies, destroying them as you go! Plus, you pass barriers.

You finally get to fight this annoying jerk in a boss battle! He's a bit tough, but actually easier than Hot Shot without the shield trick!
Edit: He's called TurboSP apparently.

TheUltimateKoopa is playable after beating TurboSP in this strange ice world. Looks cool, but there are two new types of super tough monsters here, including flame throwing robots and ice clouds!

The notorious Hot Shot boss returns in the ice world. Reminds me of Fry Guy in the icy world 4 in Super Mario Bros 2 he does.

Now we come to an electric forum which has a seeming electric or light problem. So every few steps, the lights will go out and only a small orb of light can be seen in front of you, which may make the already tricky platforming a bit harder...

And now we get to a highway related website. Far tougher than the others, this has two difficult sections of platforming. Oh, and Generic's awesome bad joke attack.
