When I buy DS games from gamestop I usually buy them used. And if it is a wifi game then I usually see the persons old friend code and friends and I just delete them. Well when I want to connect, it wont let me. So I was thinking, maybe it still thinks I need the other persons DS before I can connect. Is that the reason? If anyone could help that would be nice.

Is there an option to "full on" wipe the Wi-Fi settings? You should try that. Or try the Wi-Fi settings menu first, then try the game itself...

As in, try a test in Wi-Fi settings, then try it in the game if the test works. Assuming you haven't done that yet.

You should be able to wipe the wifi data, it should ask you "do you want to use this DS for this game's wifi?"

Right now I kind of returned my only WiFi game, so I cant do any more testing, but I am fairly certain the problem was I wasn't using the original DS. When I buy a some more games, which wont be in a while, I will buy them new and check it out.
