O.K, first things first, this game is awesome. I'd give it a 9 out of 10, and definitely recommend it to anybody that is interested. To those who have it on their Christmas wish list, why? The game's only, like, $30 and Christmas is more than two months away. Save up your allowance, because this game is well worth it.
Kirby Super Star Ultra, unlike all the other Kirby games (or so I'm told) is not just one HUGE adventure, but rather tons of smaller, mini-adventures. There are 7 adventures in all, each with its own twist in the plot or gameplay. There are also 3 of what I like to call "strength tests", and a sort of racing (no karts...) game. There are also 3 touch-controlled mini-games, along with 2 "nostalgic games" (I'm guessing from earlier series...) that you play with one button.
The names of all these games and how you play them I will not tell you unless you want me to.
Graphics: The graphics are pretty cool and revamped from earlier series (sometimes a little annoying...), so graphics gets a 9/10 here.
Sound: Some people find a few sounds annoying, but I kind of like it the way it is. 9.5/10.
Gamplay: There are much to many attacks for me to list them all here, but anyhow there are 22 (I think) abilities available. Plus, you can play with two players!!! 9/10.
Lasting value: Totally depends on how long you play it. Most adventures should take from 30 minutes to 2 hours, depending on what you're trying to shoot for. I kinda went through the game a little quick, though... (probably because I spent so much time playing the game. :)) 8.5/10.
Here are my few complaints about the game:
It's somewhat fast-paced.
According to the instruction handbook, for player 2 to play, he must look on player 1's screen to control his player.
The game gets hard somewhat fast.
There are spots that are infuriatingly difficult. (I guess that's not all bad, as sometimes you really need a challenge.)
Kirby can hardly do anything without a special ability.
So, there's my full review on Kirby Super Star Ultra. All in all, this game is definitely worth it.
Have fun!
