Out of all the playable characters, what would you consider the best one? This can use things not in the Super Mario 64 DS game for your argument, so prepare your choice carefully!
Mine is Luigi. For one, he has possibly my favourite ability, that to turn invisible with the power flower, which replaces the vanish cap in this game. I like this because it is full invincibility to enemies, as well as a way to take shortcuts through gates and the like. Plus, he can run pretty fast, and the jumping abilities of this character are spectacular, as he can jump high and wide distances with ease. You also cannot beat the helicopter spin back flip move.
On a non game related note or two, Luigi's Mansion was a good game for me, making this character an obvious choice (I love all the horror film atmosphere and detail in that game, as well as the coolness of some bosses there) and finally, Luigi is Mr L, which must count for something:
