ok everybody at my school was talking about it so I decided to try it out. It sucked! I mean like really clicking at a spot for your character to go there! You don't even fight you just click on the enemy and watch your character fight! The graphics are horrible and a whole lot of stuff. That is just some of the reasons runescape sucks or as Jesus would say "runescape suckeths." (joke) So what do all of you think about it? Just wondering.

There is a runescape addict in my class. He never stops playing it. He looks so tired at school because he was playing it all night. Though he's not emo Zam.

I tried it out once over the summer and became addicted. I finally came over it...I don't know what kept drawing me back...

yeah I see how it can be addicting but not fun. Though WoW addiction is even worse than runescape addiction. WoW actually seems fun to me never played it though.

Never played it, but my best friend said it sucked.

I played it for three years and quit when I was twelve.
Very addicting, but I don't know why. It was never actually that much fun, just time consuming and hard to stop playing.

The one that is addicted to it in class is somewhere around level 120. He shouldn't spend his whole life on it!

Runescape is old! I remember my friend trying to get me to play it in 7th grade, but alas, we had no computer at my house. That was close to 8 years ago!
Btw, is it pronounce runescape all jumbled together or run-escape?

well, I would see how you would call it run-escape: you run away from the computer to escape the possible hold of that crappy-a** game.
Anyway, I play a different MMO now called City of Heroes. It's addicting, but not like the pointlessness of runescape's addiction, and not as popular as WoW (considering there are like, what 10 million people playing it now?)

@Benoit: It's pronounced "Rune Scape" (Rune rhymes with cartoon and scape rhymes with tape).
@Lance: I've heard of that City of Heroes/Villains. Is it any good or is it free?

WoW is actually a good RPG with good storylines and quests and beautiful graphics.
Runescape is the exact opposite.

its 15 dollars a month, or you can go out and buy time cards (also $15). I think it's well worth the money though.

Every single freaking thing is about clicking the mouse a few times. That's why it's a poor game, because it requires neither mind nor reflexes.

I saw this kid writing about runescape next to me yesterday. Now I haven't played it or anything(apart from that once when my younger brother asked me to help him though the tutorial, but he dosen't really go on it after that and this long bracket further proves my upcoming point) but from what I can guess it's somehow aimed at a younger auidience, kind of like a junior WoW even though it's older. The graphics arn't great of course because it's an old game, tick. And cheat, I'm guessing it requires something else and that's management, that is it's gameplay element, kinda like football manager games, but with a character running around killing things instead... Anyway, the freeness is what attracts the young people in, as kids these days seem to be addicted to flash based rpgs... It's basically geting cocaine(WoW) for free if you let them mix it with some sugar and you'll probably more sugar than the amount of cocaine you would be getting.
Just my views....

If you mean it's a free game, you've got to be kidding. The paid version has like most of the features the game actually has, with the free one being like so feature limited it's ridiculous. Hell, the free one doesn't have most of the skills even.

runescape for the lose!
RuneScape should run away rom the world and its horrible graphics were suckish. I played it and was addicted to it when I was 9, but now I realise how dumb it is to run around, get a ton of money, and spend it on tomatoes!!!
(yes, i did indeed have no life back then) and tomatoes don't even do anything, i don't think.
