There's a tool from Super mario world central that lets you edit said levels...

Only the Iggy and Larry one. The others can have minor stuff supposedly added like Bullet Bills.

Go to "Change Properties in Header." It looks like Mario's head on the toolbar. After that, look where it says "SNES Registers and Level Modes." Underneath that will be a dropdown menu. The boss level will most likely be on either level mode 10 or 9; change it to 0. You will see the sprite for the boss somewhere on the page. Around the boss, go ahead and put whatever sprites you please. Note that no matter what, the graphics for the sprites, in MOST cases, will be messed up when you play the level, even if they look all right in LM. Once you're happy with what you have, turn the level mode back to what it was before you set it to 0, save, and play. Hope this helps.

Most being anything I think not in the default sprite set.

And a few generators. Namely, bullet bills.

Yeah, but Bullet Bills are default sprites, and the generators only launch them, so the image can't exactly be glitchy.

There have been times when the diagonal bullet bills' graphics would screw up. The others typically work fine. That is, I can't remember any instance when they didn't.

I think that's because the diagonal Bullet Bills are tile set specific.

A quick check confirms that. So is the "surrounded" generator, as it turns out. But, a simple bullet bill shooter, either one that follows you or doesn't, is not tileset specific. So that would indeed explain why they work.

No, you won't. None of the bosses have sprites that appear in Lunar Magic as they appear in-game.

The Bowser sprite should look like a black tile with a red "x" through it.

I guess not.
