You know, since Zexis said the Big Boo was a bit overused, I've been thinking, and came up with two possible bosses for the Pyramid of Traps that can be achieved with very simple graphics and sprite edits. They are:
1. King Totomesu
Aka, the first boss from Super Mario Land for the Gameboy. It's actually a really simple boss to make, because it's basically a graphics mod of Super Mario Bros Bowser. Just edit the Classic Bowser sprite on Super Mario World Central to look like said boss, and put it in a standard pyramid room with a bridge and a p switch.

2. Bull (Wario Land)
Basically, another quite simple boss to make, you'd just edit a Chargin' Chucks graphics and make it invulnerable to stomps or fireballs. You'd then have an arena where you have to trick it, like the standard Chuck behaviour to fall off the platform into the lava.

^That video maker... jeez, he messed up on the EASIEST boss in the game because he missed the glaringly obvious cue that you have to throw him in the lava... Never the less, I'm not sure whether a version of this boss would be easier or harder than the original... guess it depends how good a player you are, heh.
