Or would you have preferred it using AA batteries instead and having to keep buying batteries to use it? On one hand I prefer it being chargable, as I had a camera which wasn't, and you don't know how annoying a battery powered digital camera was to use, or how annoying the Gameboy consoles were because of constantly needing batteries. On another hand, it is a pain if it has been taken somewhere, you forget to charge it and there is nowhere to plug in the charger. That's annoying.

Got your reasons for that?

idk.
easier then buying AA's at the store.
and it's not hard to remember to charge; and the charge still lasts a good 6 hours on "death setting."

Logical enough. I have personally had very few problems with the charger or the like myself, and all seems to work well. Just curious for opinions on this.

Rechargable.

I've had every GB and AA batteries rack up a price or don't last very long (thew cheap batteries). And my Digital Camera runs on AA batteries, though I have rechargable AA's now.

I know, not using batteries is cheaper on your wallet, and also easier to use.

I've used chargin since GBC, on the GBC though It didn't have any actuall pack to charge into, so I had to stay at a plug socket. I think... Then when I got GBA it came with a battery to keep the charge and then the dslite ofcourse which comes with it. The only time I used batteries is when I first got the game boy colour.

I never used chargable accessories. The power supply one, yes but that was very, very inconveniant and non portable.

I would hate having to buy AA batteries (Like with the gameboy advanced ) so the charger makes it so much better.

I feel the same way. Imagine having to use a camera which required double A batteries then! Thankfully I now have a good one which charges like the DS Lite/DS.

I have a camera like the DS also. The built in charager pack! YAY! Much easier for taking photos without worrying about dead batteries, and having to wait 3 days before you get the time to buy them, unlike a chargable one, where you just plug it in overnight, and the next day it's good to go!

The AA battery problem is solved easily if you get a rechargable batteries. They're well worth the money, only $30 at Best Buy. I have one that can charge 4 AA's at a time, takes a few hours to fully charge them. I use them for both my Wiimotes.

I like charging too; mainly because I always lose the battery cover on all my handhelds, or I break them and I have to resort to taping the cover on. I wonder how much the cost of the electricity spent charging compares to the cost of new batteries...

I never really used chargable batteries personally. But I do often lose the battery cover, and I also wonder how the costs would compare.

I like it as chargeable because I play it too much, and it would be way to much of a hassle to keep on replacing the batteries.

For when we get a wii, does the booklet reccomend using rechargeables? I wouldn't use them if it didn't say you should.

Not sure. But I can see the use, as my Wii remote has gone though a ton of batteries...

My great aunt/great uncle's camera charges by taking out the battery and putting it in a charger.

Chargable=way easier. Batteries=cost to much after a while.

It would be better if it was interchangeable, for example, it could use it's own rechargeable batteries usually but also normal alkaline batteries when needed or when you lost your charger or have nowhere to plug it in, or use rechargeable non Li-ion batteries that you could take out and charge them at a charger. But I think it is better to have it rechargeable if it would only be one because you get more use for less to no money.

Chargeable is the best, it was a huge improvement when Nintendo first made it for their handhelds, batteries sucked and were too hard to deal with. I just play my DS, it lasts me through the day, then plug in the charger through the night and my DS = charged for another day. :)

Rechargeable batteries aren't any different from regular batteries, except that they come with a charger so you can use them repeatedly. I don't think any harm has been done by using rechargeable batteries.

That's a really good idea, and one I hope the next console has.
