Because as I have said before, the layout of Cool Cool Mountain and Tall Tall Mountain, or that of Lethal Lava Land and Shifting Sand Land seems very similar. And before you say 'The first two are both mountains':
Both have long slide
Both have areas of water at base
Both have similar shaped mountain top areas
Many areas on both seem very similar to each other
And for Lethal Lava Land/Shifting Sand Land?
Maybe how the main land marks, and in some other levels I think as well were situated directly near the centre of the level map, plus could be entered and what not.
As I can expand on the Lethal Lava Land, Shifting Sand Land and Snowman's Land map similarities (from article):
They have quicksand like substances, similar map shapes and sizes and in two cases, water in one place!
