Personally, what control scheme and what character do you use when playing this game? I personally use Luigi Lisreal as he is the fastest character in the game with the highest jumps and coolests abilities and is useful for various shortcuts in the games levels and being able to get stars extremely easily. I use standard mode, as I think that is how the game is meant to be played, and is similar to the Super Mario 64 (Nintendo 64) control scheme!

I like Yoshi and Luigi - Yoshi{} and Lisreal (Had to do that!)
Yoshi for fire breathing, (little underused) and Luigi for the things you said!

28th January 2007, 04:55 PM
Yeah, as the standard options are both the default and best controls. Did you play on one of those demo versions?
NintenDan
29th January 2007, 07:24 AM
I tried both controlsand prefered the standard one. It's too confusing using the touch screen and that.
cheat-master30
29th January 2007, 07:52 AM
Yeah, as the touch screen just was not meant for this type of game.

Ouch, I hurt my finger real bad so It's hard to use the stylus...
And type on the compu-OUCH!-ter

That sounds quite painful. I find it difficult to type on public computers though, as they are desktops rather than laptops.

I have a desk top also i played the actual game my little brother has it (just no DS anymore..). I tried to use the stylus controls to but its to hard to do anything..

Don't blame you. I personally found the stylus controls too challenging to play the game right, but the D pad was just right. I found it easy though, if only because I had beat the original with 120 stars.

I'm hoping if LoZ:PH dose have only stylus controls that they will not be like these controls because thats gonna ruin it.. but I think they will make reguler controls like they did in this. I only played in Boo mansion and Bo-bomb battlefield (or what ever there called:))

Yeah. The first ever Mario game I ever won for the first time was probably Super Mario Bros. 3!

That was an excellent Mario game.
NintenDan
4th February 2007, 05:17 AM
It was the best out of the 3 in that series in my opinion, with the music and new items!

I enjyed the frog suit the most, especially after winning a level! It looked funny when he hopped off the screen so fast!

5th February 2007, 04:44 PM
I never paid much attention to that part. But Hammer Suit for life!
NintenDan
6th February 2007, 08:45 AM
The Hammer Suit was a little underused if you ask me, as I only used it twice and it is a hard to get item. I wish they used it more often, or put in New Super Mario Bros.!
cheat-master30
6th February 2007, 12:24 PM
I liked it in various castles because you could take out the enemies like Thwomps. If it was in New Super Mario Bros, I could think of a million odd uses for it compared to Super Mario Bros 3.

Yay! Oh, and welcome to the DS Ultimate forums. Nice control choice, what the pro Super Mario 64 DS players use such as myself, mainly because it feels easier and more enjoyable to use, right?

I wonder how difficult a Kirby smily is to make?
NintenDan
11th February 2007, 03:41 AM
It's easy. Just needs shading and the correct colours, as you'll see because I posted it!

this game was sort of a rip off in charecters they just took martios abiltys and split them into the other charecters so now mario can only float and fly when it comes to cracking open box.
cheat-master30
3rd March 2007, 12:05 AM
I like the floating because it was from Super Mario World. I personally liked the characters, but do agree many power ups did not suit them, and Wario should have had a transformation from a Wario game (fat Wario maybe to go underwater, leaving Mario with the metal cap as well?), Yoshi maybe a water melon for fire, and Luigi... not sure. Anyone who wants Waluigi in this is a bit of idiot though, as he would have virtually no original abilities.
NintenDan
3rd March 2007, 11:26 PM
I read the fake thing though earlier last year. They made up some good abilities for Waluigi.

I like Luigi the most. My preferred control scheme is standard, always has been and always will be.
