I personally am wondering whether it will be:

1- Full board game and mini games each turn etc with like 4 or even 8 players over wifi.

2- Only mini games over wifi

3- Only another mode over wifi

4- Or two/three of the above.

What do you think it will be like?

1, but only 4 players
any more than 4 and it would start moving very slowly and 4 is perfect for the mini games. imagine how more than 4 woud ruin all the mini games that you've come to love. sure it may be good for some... but overall more than 4 players is a bad thing;)

I'm fine with the mini games and board in one as long as it there is no:

1- Button mashing

2- Random games (pull a rope)

3- Rotating the control stick the fastest.

Those mini game types really do suck, and take away all the fun from the game.

rotating the control stick would be terrible with a D-PAD:(

I know. You're telling me after how annoying it was rotating Bowser with either the D Pad or touch screen?

How many turns will it have though? I like putting the hightest number of turns and that will take some battery away.

I guess around 20-30 for a normal game. I wonder if they'll still allow 50 turn board game events over wifi?

I don't know who will stay that long over wifi. People sure stay playing online in Mario Kart DS though.

Depends. Games organised via forums and the like could last that long, if the capability was in the game itself.

luis, you make a good point... people D/C so much i think a normal game would be 20, and a longer game would be 30. Or worst case-scenario we would have to do mini game tourney's over wifi.

^More like this:

1 player disconnects after 10 turns because they're losing

Another disconnects half way through

Another disconnects because they're losing on the last turn.

You get 0 points because the opponents quit... Heh, probably not far from the future truth...

^That is exactly what would happen; sadly.

Or maybe the hacker way:

You play hacker or AR abuser

They get 999 stars and 999 coins.

You're stuffed.

Heh... Well, I for one will be getting this to add to my collection, then sell for the big bucks along with 1,2,4,5,6, and 7. All I need is 3 and 8 and my collection is complete! MWAHAHA!

Also, they won't be having points on Mario Party I reckon, because what you do with them. Apart from unlocking extras and etc. Also, I think they should make it that even if you lose, you can still earn points by getting the bonus stars, and completing certain events! That could lower D/C rate because everyone would get points, not just the best. Also, a no win-rate record would be good too, so people don't get competitive. An in-game win-lose record would be good, but it would help if it wasn't displayed online.

Wow, that must be bad, being a Mario Party fan and all.

Yeah, slightly terrible, but I'll be sure to get the DS version! I hope they make some interesting twists to the game play, like maybe a way of using the stylus to somehow control the game, like tap the dice block.

I have gots good news! Nintendo replied to my letter, thanking me on my suggestions, some other stuff, and explaining the long delay, which was 4 months. (The reason was because they got so many letters, so get put in a delayed box...(

But who cares if it took long, I have Nintendo memoribillia!! *Sells it on E-bay for lotsa cash*

Exactly why momo lad has to stay on subject! Launches in Japan any time now, right?

NintenDan

I'm thinking that Wi-Fi has been confirmed not to be included in the game. Only multiplayer wireless.

NintenDan
16th November 2007, 09:58 AM
Oh, it's been released in Japan, also.
