That just maybe, kids are actually getting MORE intelligent? Seriously, I read enough about exams being dumbed down that make me more think it's a case of 'I wasted my entire life and didn't put in the effort to pass exams, hence I'll basically rant constantly that exams have been made easier than in my day'. Another point is that schools DO push pupils to do well more than they used to, which might push the scales a bit in terms of said students that would otherwise have not put in any effort having actually tried hard, revised, etc and got say, ten As and 3 Bs in their exams.

Or maybe, just maybe... new techniques for calculating things in subjects like Maths were actually discovered in the meantime (subjects like Science especially are not static in what's considered factual, new theories are created, proved and old theories and methods discarded). There's just too many variables to assume the worst and act like a complete cynic.

Misspelled 'pass' as 'pas' 2nd line.

I didn't even finish all of my coursework in school and what I did finish was mostly rushed. I also didn't revise for my exams whatsoever and I still passed and got to college so you have a point, although i'm not complaining :D

I'd like to be considered as more intelligent, I'm getting straight A's at school so far, which is pretty good for me. The only problem is that in my school, when pupils are pushed to do any work, it fails. So it's essentially all the kids that have self motivation that are getting good grades.
