What do you think? My teacher doesn't force us to use cursive. It's too messy for me. I just automatically connect some letters myself. I also type more of my stuff, too. So I don't write all that much.

What's it like at your school?

Well, some of my Teachers require us to write in Cursive, but I usually Write in Print. With my horrible handwriting.

I still write in cursive sometimes, although for me, it's just I find typing a lot easier than manually writing at this point in time, and hence don't really write in any standard way most of the time.

Cursive is definately fading out. The only time when I use cursive is when I write a signature or something. If I'm at home I type if it's something over half a page long, otherwise I just write.

I have made my own writing preference; Jotting

To be fair, I'm personally old fashioned enough I really find it difficult just to write in plain print or non joined letters.

I print and type.

Same here, I write in print and type. I type for all my schoolwork now (I also did this primarily in high school) and when I write I print. I hardly ever write in cursive now, I only write in cursive if I'm signing something.

Because 90% to 100% of this world has gone digital now, I believe cursive is a near thing of the past.

Hmm, that's pretty interesting, cheat. I do have a knack sometimes that I want to write cursive, but I don't. Meh, weird.

I always use cursive. It's tight, fast, and stylish :D Wouldn't have it any other way.

It's interesting because for me, it takes more effort not to join letters and such like. I find it faster to write in cursive. Not that it's saying much, I am a far faster typer than standard writer.

Agreed Zexis, truly agreed.

Messy cursive is by far impossible to read. That's why Life Science FORBIDS cursive. Period.

Cursive annoys me. In cursive you have to make a gazillion loopdeloops, all over the place and you waste a lot of time doing that. Reading cursive is even more annoying, "uv" looks exactly like "w," "cl" looks exactly like "d."

My elementary school forced the learning of handwriting.

It's an option from then on.
