Why do guide writers not use tricks and glitches?

In their descriptions of how to get each star? I mean, it seems that every FAQ writer bar a few just recites the game maker's intended default and lengthy way to reach the stars rather than a much shorter and probably more fun way.

Possibly, but I try to use not just the normal way in my walkthroughs...

To be honest, I don't like using guides in the first place.... Unless I get stuck and try almost everything, then when I read it it was really obvious and I smack myself in the head...

I don't really use them to beat the game either. Sometimes use them to know what's coming in a game just released in Japan.
