Beat the Game with 5 stars!

First off, this is not a trick. I have a full set of ending screens to confirm what people guessed about it the ending FAQ at Gamefaqs. And here is how I did it:


I start game, and use code to start in Goomboss Battle.
Beat Goomboss, get stuck, quit.
Rescue Mario
Use tree glitch to enter basement
Use moon jump and guesswork to enter Dire Dire Docks. Get the Bowser's Sub star
Beat Bowser in the Fire Sea
Use super speed (Light speed code from Supercheats) to escape door.
Quit after getting two stars (100 coin and Big Bully) in Lethal Lava Land
Go through top key door
Use super speed to go through 50 star door, enter Tick Tock Clock and die to light up top floor.
Use moon jump and super speed to beat the Endless stairs
Beat Bowser in the Sky.Now, if you wonder the stars and why I got five, here is why:


Secret of Haunted Books (I tested a code before this)
Mystery star (already had 1 star on the file beforehand)
Bowser's Submarine
Lethal Lava Land 100 coins
Boil the Big BullyHere's the bottom screen when finally against Bowser:

If only those crazy backwards long jumps worked in the DS version! Then you could beat the game with just 8 stars without using cheat devices...

This is with less stars than that. Although theoretically, I could beat the game with 0 stars with an AR...

another way to quickly beat it is do the goomboss battle cheat then the all doors unlocked code

I have got to try this cheat! Although I would like to beat the game without any warp at all and try to beat it with little stars...

i beat the game with one code on and 0 stars. the code was moonjump.

all doors unlocked... but i only use that code when i try to experement on codes with a file with not every door already unlocked:/

ther is no sound accept 4 the music and ur characters voice.

you need an Action Replay for this... the codes you need is, all castle doors unlocked, and moonjump. anyways, when you start the game, be any character
(I would recommend mario cuz when you beat the game with other characters, the game freezes) anyways go to the star door leading to the never ending stairs, jump over the wall leading to the never ending stairs, but, moonjump to the left a little, then you can't see, but try to guess where Bowser's hole will be, go in it, and your in the final stage of Bowser! just moonjump up to the warp pipe and your fighting bowser!!! can anyone make a video of this on YouTube, all credits go to me, well, half of it goes to the person that made the video. I'm the one who found out how to beat the game with 0 stars, none else!

I beat the game with no AR, I had eveything including 150 stars, all minigames, charecters, and worlds.

But I lost the game :( .
I think my DS AR is lost too.
My DS is broken....
But I do have a Wii AR...
and I think I can find my DS AR.

I do belive Lisreal is real n SM64 and WAluigi} is in SM64DS.

You can save when u get your 151th star.You also must have 150 stars 4 it 2 work.It shows up as 151 stars on the title screen and doesn't freeze up.The game is tricked into thinking u got 100 coins outside the castle.

A great Guide dude! but, I can beat the game with JUST moonjump, and 0 stars. the most thing you have to do, is when you walk through doors, press moonjump when you walk through them. lol when you're at th door for the final bowser door, go through it, but PRESS THE MOONJUMP BUTTON(B) sometimes you'll see the hole to get to bowser's final level, and sometimes not.

I think you can. Mario caps might appear in Bowser's fire. But Mario still shows up, as he still falls down to the ground, even though you haven't unlocked him yet. At least I think so. When I have a working AR, I'll try this.

^The caps don't show up without unlocking at least one character with them, and the game freezes. You can probably beat Bowser though using a temporary transformation code or the Metal Wario code.

I think it only does that in PAL version, I seem to remember a Mario cap showing up once...
