prolouge: well after the dissapointment of sunshine we finally get a new mario game.....does it perhaps out do mario64? or is mario64 the true king of video games still? read on and find out.
GAMEPLAY: 7.9/10
the gameplay in super mario galaxy is probabely better than mario 64,s the worlds are so nice and detailed with there uniqe planets and diffrent power ups you can get the main selling point of this game was the bee suit and is it hyped what it is? yes actually it is very fun to use the bee suit you press the a button on the wiimote to fly ect, there is also spring mario fire mario ice mario and more although most of them are cool they just arent used enough in the game.....anyway moving on you can shake the wii mote to do a spinning attack which is pretty nice and fun to do the triple jump and all the others are back from mario64 which is great either way it is pretty uniqe to play and pretty fun also the only gripes i had were the planets were to small and there just isen,t enough to explore the game is very linear and the game just isen,t that long.

STORY: 2.8/10
you know if they tried a mario game could have a story most people hated sunshines story but i liked it anyway the story is mario is at a festival that only happens 100 years or something and out of nowere bowser comes and crashes the party and you get launched into space and meet someone called roselina some girl that is living on a space station to tell you the truth i really don,t understand what she,s about...anyway the story was not as good as mario sunshines but at least it still had a bit of a story.

GRAPHICS: 8.9/10
the graphics are pretty medicore for this system don,t be fooled by the hype machine this game had graphics of a good looking gamecube game mabey just under the needle per say everything looks nice but i felt they did not focus on the small details once although some effects are beautifull some rather small details could have been polished a bit more. but if your not picky like me they should look fine now you may be thinking im a ps3 fanboy or something but my are you wrong i will NOT pay 600 dollars for a overpriced monster with such a small and terrible game library.

CONTROLS: 8/10
the controls work pretty well and are nice and standard and easy to learn i hated swimming though as jumping or turnng in the water is a pian but either way everyhing works fine!

SOUND: 5.9/10
now before you start flameing me read first the music is great.......only a couple of tunes really are good the others are rehashes of other old tunes which is fine but why not more new music? the music in the good egg galaxy was so greta but it dident make me get all hyper and think "wow this music is so great!" although i do hum the good egg galaxy tune quiete often i do not even really remember the others so not really the "sound" persay but the music selection is what gave this such a low score

UNLOCKABLES: 5/10
well it had more to unlock then new super mario bros but not by much you can unlock.... a character
called luigi and some purple coin challenges and one extra galaxy but you can,t really persay unlock any other extra bouneses yes you can get the other galaxys but there not considerd unlockables a they are required to beat the game

REPLAY VALUE: 5.9/10
although i haven,t beaten the game yet (i have about 30 stars) i have heard much about the game and after getting EVERY star and ect, this game will slowely start to get boring it may want to mak you come back one day but this is a game that can only be played for so long it just dosent have the replay value mario64 has.

DIFFICULTY: 5.9/10
well let me put it this way it is harder than new super mario bros easier than mario sunshine and a tad easier than mario64 the difficulty isen,t patheticlly difficult like new super mario bros but it is still kinda eays most worlds only have around 1-3 missions and can easily be beat but it is a passable mark for difficulty

RENT OR BUY?: well to really put it im not going to say "if your not a mario fan buy this anyway" no i doubt if you either don,t like mario64 or any mario game you won,t like it but any gamer in general will have fun with it so yes buy it is sort of but not kind of worth it but ya this is a nice game to have.

ahh yes i can see fanboys and gamers alie getting ready to flame me until i have turned into ash now this is MY opinion and what i thought of it i cannot belive i have to have this message but just becuase a game is hyped dosent mean im going to like it or just becuase it,s a mario game not all mario games are good! (hotel mario or mario typing anyone?) most games i review get a 6.9 and this is what it gets the game is good but it just cannot eep up with mario 64 it has alot of strong points but it,s flaws just chew to many points off for the review.
