How Many Stars do you have?

For me, it's quite simple; 121 with both characters.

I haven't got this game yet, (I hope to get it in 6 days :D), but do you have to get 120 stars with Mario and 120 stars with Luigi before getting the 121st star?

Yes you do. And you must be Bowser for the purple coin missions and another star before you can beat him again to unlock Luigi then do that again to unlock the Grand Finale Galaxy.

120 Mario, 21ish Luigi.

I found playing as Luigi much funner so far than playing as Mario. Maybe because I prefer Luigi in all games to Mario or maybe it's because I'm appreciating the game more this time around. I don't know, but I know. >_>

Heck, I went for Bowser right at 60! Partially because you need to for the Purple Comet to start appearing. I'm really not sure why you need to do it again, though. Waste of time IMHO.

Right now I have 23. I'm getting a couple a day. My kind of pace... slow enough so I can enjoy every part of the game. I do everything too. (Hit every box, get every coin, every star bit, etc.)
