If there would to be a handheld coming after the DS, I would want it to be able to have a virtual concole for all Gameboy games. Even for GBA games when the Gameboy Advance SP becomes an acient system.

Virtual console even from original Gameboy games would be best. I just wish I could play Super Mario Land 2 and Wario Land on a modern console...

Maybe connect the new handheld to the new concole and play the Gameboy games there?

Really, there's unlimited possibilities. Right now I just want to enjoy my DS.

I don't care how. I would be as content with a Action Replay type add on for this.

Did you guys know that Nintendo already made a new DS?
It's been confirmed in the most recent Game Informer.
It won't have a GBA slot and it will be smaller, with larger screens.
It's finished, but won't be sold until the sales of the DS Lite, decrease. However, that won't be happening anytime soon.

Are you talking about the GameInformer with Ghostbusters on the cover? I have that one (and it's the most recent issue), and they never hinted to a new DS. I have no evidential proof that they have, or are making one; so I don't believe it.

It's Nintendo; that should be the only proof you need to know that they are making (or have made) a new one.

Game Boy-> Game Boy Pocket-> Game Boy Color (I'm including GBC because not a lot changed other than adding color)
Game Boy Advance-> GBA SP-> GBA SPII-> Game Boy Micro
DS Phat-> DS Lite-> DS???

Still doesn't mean it will be released in the NEAR future.

I have a feeling it'll turn out like GBM. The rumor about it is that it lacks backwards compatibility (just like the Micro). This gen seems to be shaping up to follow the last generation. Final Fantasy games released at the end of the consoles life span (IV,V,VI for GBA and rumored VII, VIII, IX for DS) and new design without BC. I wonder when we'll get our OoT/MM port? Last gen we got Lttp and then MC. Hopefully they just decided to mix it up again and give us the ports after the new stuff.

No, it doesn't have ghostbusters, it has that new game Tiberium on the cover.

According to this: http://www.gameinformer.com/Magazine/
it's january 2008 issue.
But that doesn't seem accurate...

I think it might be, and I just haven't gotten the magazine yet. I can't wait until I get the January issue, GameInformer's Top 50 games of all time! :)

I say make add-ons for the DS! A Game Boy original thing you plug in slot two that allows you to play those games. Add-on where you can take your own screen shots/videos of games with an SD card, or take photos of real life instead.
If that happened, the DS could boost a little bit. I mean, taking screenshots that are crystal clear would be a review/guide writers dream come true. Videos, even better!

Yeah, but Game Informer already said there won't be any GBA slots, so that means no Game Boy slots either.:(
However, they never said there wouldn't be a sort of camera for it.:)
And they said that Nintendo said that there will be a space for "Storage" which could mean pictures, music, ect.:):):)

I meant make add-ons for the old DS for now, but that'd be great if the DS could store music and that, and you could listen to it when playing games and the like.

A dream. A great dream, but sadly, a dream that will never come true.

I would love a camera add on. Seriously, we could have the best screenshots in the world on this site if it was available to use.

There is a game slot called "Games n Music" (I bought in at Wal Mart) that stores Homemade Games on it, holds pictures, and music. It was about 20 bucks, which I bought along with my Action Replay.

Is it a official Nintendo product? Because if it isn't, well, personally I wouldn't trust it, but then again, there are radio add-ons for the DS.
Nintendo should go ahead and release one anyway. It's not like people haven't been wanting to store pictures, or take photos, or listen to music. It'd be fun.

^Does it really matter if it's an official product? The Action Replay isn't, and everyone here uses that regardless. Nor is the Trainer Toolkit.
