Well I have the GC version, but I figure its all the same(other than left=right and right=left). I haven't beaten it yet, I'm 30 hrs in and I've just finished the *spoilers* Temple of Time. It was great until I finally found the statue, because that's when I had to make the long, boring trip back down. I also hate having to chase the skull kid around.

What about the statue is so bad? What do you have to chase around?
benoit489
21st January 2007, 01:37 AM
In the temple of time, you have to find a missing statue. The whole dungeon is linear iirc so its a long way to the back, and when you get there you find the statue. Then, you have to use the dominion rod (kinda like the song used in WW to control statues) and whatever movement you make, the statue makes. After you've gained control, you have to go all the way back to the begining. I thought that part was boring and time consuming.
While on your way to the temple of time, you have to go through the "something" Meadow (can't remember the name). While you go through it, you have to follow the skull kid around because once you get a solid hit on him he'll open another door to try and run through. After you've hit him a couple of time you'll get into a boss-type fight with him. The annoying thing is that he continually calls on enemies to attack you as you're chasing him. They are fast, and if you don't take care of them and decide to just run past, they'll follow you and actually keep up. You to go through opening after opening, facing these weak enemies, just to finally corner him and have to face more.

Heh, heh. You can crush somebody with statues...! never heard of that before!
caprontos
22nd January 2007, 02:47 PM
you crush the new Gohma... btw why is she always a push over? she was hardest in Ages...
LoZ you could walk in the room shoot the bow she dead...
OoT you could jump attak her (after u shoot her with the slink shot) then crunch stap her to death...
TP shes really easy...
OoS was only hard because she had this claw:
http://www.photosled.com/data/573/gohma.bmp
once you choped it off she was easy to.. she wasn't really hard to begin with..
cheat-master30
22nd January 2007, 05:39 PM
That's why Gohma is the first boss in many games. I guess it's easy because there is only so much strategy and skill shooting something in the eye involves.
caprontos
22nd January 2007, 06:13 PM
shes the 6th boss in LoZ (kinda.. she boss of level 6 :) u can beat dugeons in any order.. except 9 is always last)
and OoS shes not the first boss.. 4th maybe?
cheat-master30
22nd January 2007, 06:18 PM
I know it's not always the first boss, but in a few of the 3D games it is. Still, it's actually easiest in the NES version. Just one arrow to the eye wins!

The first boss, that hard shelled lava dwelling beast in Dragon Roost Cavern where you had to swing on Valoo's tail to make the ceiling fall on it three times and then hit the eye with the grappling hook then the sword. Learn it was Gohma from the figurine gallery.

I haven't tried the Wii version yet, but I'd imagine quick aiming will be easier. As far as difficulty, I've found it to be easier. I had to look at a guide for WW more times than I did for TP.

its fun because they gave him a bed in all the other games (that he had a home in)
some people say it is because link sleeps standing up

That's generally pretty impossible for a person to though. Some creatures can sleep while moving but not people.

mhm.. so um..
well this game did have many re-used Ideas, the new items were fun (when they were used.. witch was never enough...)
cheat-master30
26th January 2007, 04:49 PM
I personally think many items in games are never used enough generally. For example, you use the Battlehammer only about three times in Metroid Prime Hunters, and the Volt Driver just once. Ever. In the Legend of Zelda games, personally I feel that things like the Power Bracelets/telescope in the Wind Waker and many items in other games just needed to be used more often for puzzles.
caprontos
26th January 2007, 05:17 PM
thats very true in TP to because Items like the Ball and chain and spinner are used like once maybe twice outside the dongeon you got it in. the bomarange wasnt really used that much either..
cheat-master30
26th January 2007, 05:21 PM
Sadly, it seems many games use most items just a few times and a select few a lot of times.
caprontos
26th January 2007, 05:28 PM
thats true and its the "cool" or "different" items that are used lest. the bow is used countless times as are the bombs but there nothing special. but the spinner is fun to use but its barely used..
cheat-master30
26th January 2007, 08:59 PM
Exactly. The only thing rare items get used for is like one big puzzle and the boss battle in most games.
caprontos
26th January 2007, 09:29 PM
true and ueasely there the more fun items the ones you'd like to use more often
cheat-master30
26th January 2007, 09:55 PM
Yeah. However, I try to use them when I can, and some weapons are just cool. For example, the Hookshot in Legend of Zelda games, and the Imperialist (nice, big laser firing cannon) in Metroid Prime Hunters and you end up using them a lot.
caprontos
27th January 2007, 05:07 PM
true but the hookshot has been used in many games, the ball an chain has only been in TP. I'm hoping for the next Zelda game all items are used more.

Something Mario I'm guessing.
I was also dissapointed with Epona and not being able to talk to the boars. I didn't mind being a wolf for long amounts of time, I thought wolf link was pretty fun. The only dissapointing thing about the wolf is that the animals you interact with don't have much to say. I also get tired of having to transform into a wolf just to teleport, and then having to transform back.
I guess I just don't like the world of TP as much as past Zelda games. I could always pick up every other Zelda game (save AlltP) and have fun just running around, but the TP world isn't that exciting.

Actually, I've changed my mind a bit. After doing the latter part of the game that involves finding all the statues, I've found that it is much more fun to be wolve link and go from place to place, than ride epona from place to place. Just being wolf link and running around is cool. AlltP is good, but I don't know what I'm supposed to be doing. I'm at the dungeon inside the forest in the dark world. I got some rod that shoots fire or ice, can't really remember. I'll have to pick it up and play again after I beat TP.

Yeah, I beat it. I thought the kinstones idea was cool, even though I only hunted down half the chest it unlocked. I'm also missing some sword technique things. I thought the game was really good, but the area was kind of small compared to the handheld games. The music was really good just like all the other handheld games. Was the Hyrule Town theme a remixed Zelda song or a new one? I always have trouble figuring out. Just last night I found out that the ABC song and Twinkle Twinkle Little Star are both sung to the same music.
caprontos
1st February 2007, 09:29 PM
I think the inside a house musice is from OoT... or do you mean the town music it self (do you have the sound Test (or do you have all the figureans?))
I played the game and got 100% complete but that last kinstone took me over a year to find.. and it was one that only happened sometimes thats why it took so long.
