I have just done this, so it is possible. But if you want my exact steps, they are:
Go up the slope near the start.
Fall off the edge into the coin, then use the spring star when it appears.
Long jump from the top of the mountain to the tree where a Bee is asleep.
Long jump and spin to the edge of the look out deck where a Mandibug is.
Get to the tower as normal.
Go to where the next Bee Suit is, and back flip + spin off wall to land on ledge
Do the same off the fence to land near the spring
Now, use the trampoline and spin into the wall then wall kick to reach the area with a stone block which makes a vine appear. Climb the vine.
When fighting the boss, go to the stone block, and use it for cover. Now long jump onto the cannon each time (three times) and pound the top.
Collect the star.Try it! It's pretty fun, and a good challenge!
Oh, and did you know you can get through I think the whole last area of Bubble Blast Galaxy without a bubble? Just long jump and spin from floating circular platform to platform. Of course, avoiding the Bullet Bills is the very difficult thing...
