Well, a look back on how I got to where I am today. Hope you enjoy reading it, and I think this would be a good time to announce that my Metroid comics will probably be scrapped, as I want to return to a humour genre... Sorry 'bout that guys, but I just don't want to make a comic I don't personally like. Expect something this weekend hopefully! But, please read my story as I think It's quite well-written.

Very good story.
Let me tell you how I joined this site...
One day, I was hanging out with a friend after school, he told me to come and meet someone with him. So I walked to his house and met a person named Tom Norton, he was a fairly nice guy, we spoke, and then I found out that he played MKDD. Well after comparing time, we stumbled accross a the Mario Kart Players Page. When MKDS came out, we decided to join the forum. Then I met Cheat-Master. I was intrigued by his glitches, so I decided to join his forum. =D I was teh 7th person to join. Then I quickly became a mod.
The end. (|:})

Very true that (oh and Nintendan, you could have saved that guide as actual text in a post rather than a huge image). My story of starting this forum (longer read):
When I was younger, I was wowed at the idea of running a website, and wanted to start one. I got the chance when I first came across AOL Hometown, and made a really basic page on glitches and cheats, which then became like 30 pages and loads of mini sites. I got bored of this, so when the DS came out, I wanted to make a Nintendo DS fan site. The first one was just awful, and while it had no real layout, the content was all there. The second one was on Tripod, and was a bit better, but it was when I started an Invisionfree forum that the site became popular, and I mentioned it on the Players Page forum (where Astr0 found the forum from, and some other people). It then grew and grew, and my site went from host to host, adding more and getting bigger. The old forum eventually got to 6500 posts or so and about 65 members before I decided to get proper paid hosting, so I set up this forum, on my new paid site, and started making this site as Nintendo based as it is today.

Good stories! Very interesting. And for a second, I thought you wrote "Tom Nook"! My mistake!

Heh. And yours was good too then!

Thanks! Well, I have another announcement to make. This one's good! I felt bad for scrapping another series, and after recently downloading The Games Factory, (I can have it if I install it and Uninstall it after using so the computer doesn't slow down). Well, after downloading, I have decided to make a TSS: The Game! It may take a while, but I know the basics in a platformer, so I hope it works!!

You mean a game based on the comic series shown by the top banner in your signature?
NintenDan
10th March 2007, 09:37 AM
Yes, I do! It's hard to believe, but I have made some levels already, wgich involve "health" for hopefully enemies that I can program, and "coins" that can add to your score. I will make passwrods for specific levels, and maybe even a cheat or two! Ha! But, I will need to mess around with it some more as my moving platforms are screwing up! DAMN! But hopefully, you'll like it when I'm done. Could take a while though!

That's okay (is willing to wait).
NintenDan
10th March 2007, 10:07 AM
I probably (and hopefully) make a level 2, and possibly a level 3!
cheat-master30
10th March 2007, 12:38 PM
That would be cool.
NintenDan
12th March 2007, 11:23 AM
I could only make a level 2... But still, It'll have a DKC feel to it, as Shy Guy and Ukiki, (when paired up) will have different abilities! Snifit can jump higher, and Ukiki can run faster! Plus, if one get's hit, then the other will have to continue the level by their self! Sound good?

12th March 2007, 06:13 PM
Sounds okay, and kind of like Mario and Luigi Partners in Time without the turn based battles.
NintenDan
13th March 2007, 08:22 AM
Screw that idea above, as it was a bit complex to program, and I think it was gonna take too long to get it right. So how about this. Just press some button, and you'll switch to the other character: Snifit - Ukiki, Ukiki - Snifit. That is a lot easier, plus I can get it done quicker. Also, I a made a level 3!

I own RPG maker 3 for PS2 its not as good as Game Maker IMO... and you have to pay for RPG maker on the computer so i am just fine with Game maker :)
good story NintenDan

13th March 2007, 08:49 PM
Is there not a free RPG maker version? Oh, and I know your story. You cam ehere because of the pots found in the water in The Legend of Zelda the Wind Waker.
NintenDan
14th March 2007, 10:21 AM
There's a free one. Also, I have a test version for you, just don't know how to get it on the internet. I have an internet version of the game...

Gee, hope this works. It just fit under the limit. It's a .zip file, but hopefully once downoladed, you should be able to play it!
Okay, then, I just checked, It only works when you have the games factory downloaded, so I really need help, as I'm not the best when it comes to things like this, as I'm still learning. Help would be greatly appreciated!

caprontos
14th March 2007, 07:23 PM
I'll try it to..
if you need to have game factory on ur computer to play it then see if theres an excutable option to make the game stand alone (so it can be played by anyone)
cheat-master30
14th March 2007, 07:47 PM
I hope you don't, as that would really annoy me.
NintenDan
15th March 2007, 11:21 AM
No executable... Sorry
cheat-master30
15th March 2007, 03:11 PM
Damn. Can you get an executable version please?
NintenDan
16th March 2007, 11:38 AM
I think it costs money, I dunno. I'll try and see if I can.
cheat-master30
16th March 2007, 03:45 PM
Please try, as people could actually play the game then.
NintenDan
17th March 2007, 07:06 AM
I guess nobody will be able to play it... I can't register it. But, I could make an RPG version If I download RPG Maker! No...
cheat-master30
17th March 2007, 01:01 PM
Is there not an option to save as executable file?
NintenDan
18th March 2007, 10:52 AM
Well, yeah, but I cannot do that in the unregistered version... And the code for the registered version is unavailable... I can save it as an internet game though. What would that do, if you know?
cheat-master30
18th March 2007, 11:23 AM
Not sure, but you could try it.

19th March 2007, 10:26 PM
The answer to NintenDan's problem: GO GAMEMAKER!!!
Even though it didn't suit you before, you're older! And it's really really really really really really really (5 days later) really easy! *breaths*
NintenDan
20th March 2007, 10:18 AM
I could try that then. Well, it depends though. I will check to see if it costs, if it has a limit for a free version, and so on. Hopefully maybe that'll work!
cheat-master30
20th March 2007, 01:24 PM
Maybe then the game can be playable by other people?
NintenDan
21st March 2007, 11:04 AM
I've decided that game making is not for me, and I should return to my comic-making, so I should probable make my return to comics in April, or near the end of March.
cheat-master30
21st March 2007, 05:50 PM
Yeah, where I guess you will finish the Metroid comic?
NintenDan
22nd March 2007, 08:41 AM
No. I didn't like the idea. I'll make a new one.
cheat-master30
22nd March 2007, 03:14 PM
What series will it be about?
NintenDan
24th March 2007, 11:49 AM
One of my all-time ideas! Revolves around Mario, Bowser, and Mini Bowser, along with some other familiar faces. I hope it should be sort of like TSS, serious, but a comical side as well! I have sprites too!
cheat-master30
24th March 2007, 11:56 AM
Okay, create the comic so I can see it!
NintenDan
24th March 2007, 12:08 PM
Tomorrow hopefully.

24th March 2007, 12:15 PM
Okay, I'll look forward to reading it.
NintenDan
26th March 2007, 11:10 AM
Once again, I changed my storyline! This is probably a first, but it'll be about Mario... In Western style! Don't worry, it'll still be possile to read without all the western 'slang'...
cheat-master30
26th March 2007, 05:12 PM
You mean like Wild West Mario?
NintenDan
30th March 2007, 11:09 AM
Yup, I'm making a topic for it soon, so go look at it!
conicsonic5
30th March 2007, 09:01 PM
Nintendan, if you want, I can make a TSS game for you (as long as its not too complicated). All you have to do is PM me the sprites, the main game idea, and I'll try.
cheat-master30
30th March 2007, 10:31 PM
Please agree to this Nintendan... please agree to this!
NintenDan
31st March 2007, 11:55 AM
I have deleted most of the sprites, but I can retrieve them, edit them, give you a storyline to possibly follow, etc. Maybe soon...

Symerwizkid22

5th May 2007, 11:28 AM
I am confused. And I don't think that should be appearing... well, cheatmaster-30 will have a look at it, and probably fix whatever's going or tell us what it's for.
