As you may know, I have an obsession for this word, so I went to Wikipedia, and found that it is the name of a villain in a show called "Quick Draw Mc'Graw". The villain hit people in the head with a guitar, and it would produce a "kabong" sound. The guitar was also called the "kabonger".
