View Full Version : What is your most hated videogame enemy?

And by this, I mean what enemy do you hate most in any Nintendo videogame, and why? Note that this is not just about Mario enemies.

For Mario game enemies, I generally hate Lava Spitting monsters from Yoshi's Island and Yoshi's Island DS, as well as the Mad Piano and a few others. The lava spitting things are annoying as they spit an instant death stream of lava, and the Mad Piano creeps me out.

For Legend of Zelda games, I hate redeads (who can't hate those annoying zombie enemeies?) and sometimes Wall and Floor Masters. The redeads just scare me a bit, the Wall and Floor Masters drop you at the beginning of the dungeon.

In Metroid games, I get annoyed by Psycho Bits (those small robots which fire lasers and float), Guardians and Weavel.

Those robots were annoying and funny because the way they move. I hate those big hands that puts you at the start.

I dislike the enemy, Kremling. He's so stupid, and such a time-waster.

Also i dislike ice in games... because it makes me slide off into holes and lava.. haha ice is my most hated eneime for right now haha

Ice is always annoying, but what bugs me are:

Scrolling screens that try and squash you flat against a wall
Rising lava in levels (where you have to run for your life)
Very big mean enemies chasing you
Lava chasing you (yep, in Wario Land)
Instant death spikes and thorns in levels (Yoshi's Island anyone?)
Leaps of faith (where's the platform.... aarrgh......!)

True. Welcome to Yoshi Tower in Yoshi's Island DS was evil because of the rising lava.

Most likely, as there were a few castles in the final level that sound like they may have had that.

caprontos
14th March 2007, 11:02 PM
they either
throw ice spears at you witch may frezze you (sucks)

or
if your close to them they will just attack you with the ice spears

they are really annoying... expesaly in gruops

Ouch. Also, that does remind me how annoying it is to fight enemies in large amounts (no wonder that's all some games consist of).

caprontos
14th March 2007, 11:24 PM
Actual fighting large amounts of eneimes in some games is fun :) (IMO)

In some games. In those where you die in one or two hits it is not though.

I also hate those undead soldiers in Twilight Princess where they screech and paralyze Link, giving other enemies a chance to get free hits.

SSBM Mutli-Man matches. Play Cruel Melee and try not to develop some sort of hate for them! It's nearly impossible, trust me!

Really? I thought Bombs were good too...

Bombs are good against many enemies in The Legend of Zelda. Of course, the real most helpful things are Light Arrows.

The Light Arrows are in TP, but you cannot use them yourself.
