Kill the shoutbox

The forum has become too large for the shoutbox, and conversations there are ridiculously dumb, or are a pain to read because of spam and crap. Please, the shoutbox needs to go.

Also, far too many people asking what's been going on and butting into other people's conversations. Just kill the damn thing!

I shout box but now I hate it due to the extreme ammount of spam. So yes, get rid of it, immature members are abusing it and slowing down the site.

and I used to love the shoutbox...how it betrays me. Everyone who knows me here knows I really, really loved the shoutbox. Now...its just a sad memory destroyed by idiotic arguments, spam, and continued rivalries.

Ignore him Symerwiz, you're continuing the argument by commenting on it. Just continue on with your happy life and let Cheat and the Mods do their jobs. We both know they've been planning to get rid of it since the site is more active. Could you imagine 500+ players on it every day? The site would be slow and insane!

The PSP can`t use the shoutbox so I don`t care if you remove. Symer is right about the site now getting slow replies. Most of the time I would log out after I post because no one is posting. The site use to get fast replies.

It depends on the time of day. Mid day GMT is the worst ever time for posting because of this, and sadly one of the times I'm most available to post.

No no no. What Luis means is that when there wasn't a shoutbox, the people that were online were dedicated members that actually posted responses and helped you out. This site is getting too big and populated for a shoutbox, and it must be removed, in my own personal opinion.

A shoutbox limit should be based on number of posts made that day.

So, no one can use it until they've made at least one post, and, they have to make more posts for more shouts.

That's actually a pretty good idea, like how the arcade will one day be limited again when I can get the points system to work again.

And, I think it shout be more than one shout per post. Maybe it could depend on the length of posts. Unlikely though that'd be, I don't think Cheat could do that.
