This time however, it seems that Disney are looking at allowing guests to use a Nintendo DS as the hardware for the system. Disney are not strangers to using DS systems within parks. Back in the summer of 2007 Disney had a program where guests could bring in their DS to access customised content from Pirates of the Caribbean in the Magic Kingdom. With this new system however, the DS would serve as your interactive guide map.

So they're planning on using it as an interactive map? That sounds quite interesting for the future...

I'm not sure. Any more information on this, since the site I used didn't really specify.

I thought Disney was the only company where movie tie ins did not equal crap. I know they did really good in the 16-bit days.

Quite a few MODERN Mickey Mouse games to name? Shrek games? Those were not good.

But there were quite a few good Disney based games before. On the Nintendo 64 and earlier.

Shrek doesn't belong to Disney, its DreamWorks'.

I beat one of the Shrek games on GBA. :P

...it wasn't that bad. I know I had a great feeling of accomplishment from beating it.

What would be a dumb game idea?

Scooby Doo belongs to Hana Barbera, along with Yogi Bear and Huckleberry Hound.

Update: There's a review for this thing at the link below. While they supposedly supply the DS, at least in the beta test, it comes with a cartridge and supposedly is rather useful. And works in the rides:
