I just couldn't get the hang of the controls of this game... I tried both stylis and dual mode and I could get decent with either! I do just fine in other Metroid game...(I am stuck at Yakuza in Fusion but that is beside the point...)

I also don't play many FPS, but I got used to Halo 1 on PC just fine, but for some reason not this...

Did anyone else have a hard time getting used to the controls?

Well, not reading the insructions was a stupid move for me, but I figured it out quickly. How much trouble are you having, and welcome!

I found this game very difficult at first, as my last games was New Super Mario Bros and Mario and Luigi partners in Time, and I could not get the hang of touch screen controls and quick shooting of enemies easily. I eventually understood how to beat the game and get good at it though.

I did hear also that this was more action based than the other Metroid games.

Thanks for having me!

the funny thing is, I had borrowed my friend's copy because he was stuck on first level >_>, and I beat the game for him.

Then I bought my own copy, and I can do single player just about fine, but I absolutely stink at Wifi! I have a 5-60 record or something like that...I keep getting SF'd, alt-spammed, imp-spammed, or whatever... I can hold my own on larger levels, but on small ones, I just get clobbered! I seem to have about 0% accuracy, and I had practiced for a long itme and I just couldn't get it down.

In a way yes, and in a way no...Personally I found MPH single player to be very tedious and boring. I mean, it only has 3 big bosses other than the hunters...

To me, the only dificulty in this game were the weird controls where as Fusion and ZM had a 1% run and 9% run respectively. ZM also has a hard mode...

Sorry for the rant...it just sorta came out...

I wished there were more difficulty options as well. In fact, I wish there were in a lot of games.

Oh, and I too thought the boss were a little unimaginative. I mean, why have 4 Cretaphids and 4 Slenches? The Gorea bosses were cool though, and the spawn creatures okay. Personally they should have had Cretaphid and Slench in once and new bosses in each of the other planets.

I also found the map to be almost unuseable. I could tell the room had to exits, but I couldn't tell which one I needed half the time...This was especially bad in the "get-out-before-this-place-explodes-for-the-umpteenth-time" scenarios...I especially hated those... I just don't like time limits...

I hated Celestial Archives because of that. Escaping from there the second time is a confusing nightmare.

Timers are pretty much a game's last resort to making something hard.

As are auto scrolling levels and rising lava.

Ah, yes, how many levels I've encountered with those.

And how many times I have died on those kinds of levels...

Yes, me too. I downloaded some demos of games, and I played Darts for Clubhouse Games. The only downside is that once you turn off your DS, the downolad goes away. I was near a special Wi-Fi place that Nintendo setup in the shops, so they broadcast demos for people to play.

I can't connect to Wi-Fi for the games, it's "not allowed" which seems kind of silly.
