I can try to explain. I personally mess around with quantifier digits and stuff, but things like the Trainer Toolkit may help you with code creation.

To make codes, look at the digits in an Action Replay code in the manual code editor (It's built into your Action Replay DS software), and modify them to see if they do anything. You can also use an emulator, like NO$GBA. If they don't do anything to the code, try modifying some other numbers. Hope this helps. Bowser}

If it helps, also compare codes for playing as different characters or the like, see what changes and then try modifying that part of the code.

No...i wish it did though. It has the same effects as an emulator. Here's how you make codes with it:
Do a search for "equal to"
It will come up with about 150,000 results for addresses (the first 8 digits) and the values (the other 8) that are written to them.
Now you can search for "less than" "more than" "equal to" or an "inside range search"
It will keep lowering your results for the addresses that you want to change until you get about...3
You can test these 3 codes to see if they work.
So far it's really hard to make a complicated code. I'd recommend just changing the values of pre-existing codes at first though.
