Bob-omb Battlefield

1- Big bob-omb on the summit

Firstly, go straight up the bridge and right to the meadow. Stand in the middle to teleport. When you emerge go straight and up the slope. Follow the path to the alcove and warp to the top of the mountain. After talking to the big bob-omb, wait til he throws a bomb, eat it and spit it back at him. Repeat twice.

2- Footrace with Koopa the quick

After talking to Koopa the Quick, run straight and teleport to in front of the mountain. Run up the slope and warp to the top. Wait for K.T.Q. and then get your star.

3- Five silver stars

Star one is up the first tree.
*

The next star is on the chain chomp's tail.
*

Star 3 is hidden in a goomba

4- Big Bob-omb's Revenge

Run up to the top of the mountain where you fought the Big Bobomb and talk. You would have needed to unlock Mario. Run to the back of him and throw him to the ground. Repeat twice for a star.

5- Mario Wings to the sky

Firstly, as Mario, shoot to the floating island. Get the wing cap and get into the cannon. Shoot through the rings of coins, then fly down and grab the star.

6- 8 Red Coins

Just get the coins from these locations:

Above the set of rotating platforms

At the top of a hill near the side of the mountain.

On the floating island

Near the goombas in the area with four poles

On the chain chomp's pole

In in the underground area with a switch and a bob-omb

7- Behind Chain chomp's gate

Start as Luigi and hit the red block. Then, as invisible, walk through the gate behind the chain chomp.

Whomp's Fortress

1- Chip off Whomp's block

Go straight up the path. Dodge the piranha plant and turn right over the bridge. Turn right again and dodge the obstacles til you reach a whomp. Dodge or kill it then turn and continue until you reach the platforms. Climb up and talk to the King Whomp. After his speech, wait for him to fall at you, then dodge. Ground pound the bandage. Repeat this 3 times. Get the star.

2- Top of the fortress

Keep going until you reach where the Whomp was( the king Whomp) and climb the newly built tower and grab the star.

3- Shoot into the wild blue.

Go left to the cannon and talk to the bob-omb buddy to open the cannon. Aim at the middle, top of the floating platform. If aimed correctly, you will grab onto the pole and slide down. Grab the star.

4- red coins on the floating isle

The red coins are in these locations:

From the start, go right until you see it behind a piranha plant

5- fall onto the caged island

At the start, climb the tree til an owl comes out. Grab it and fall onto the said caged island.

6- Blast away the wall

Go to the cannon and aim at the right corner wall. Grab the star that appears.

7- Switch star of the fortress

Keep going right and over the fence until you see a red brick. Smash it, hit the switch and run until you retrieve the star in the glass enclosure.

Jolly Roger Bay

1- Plunder the sunken ship

From the star, swim until you reach the open area of water. Swim down to the ship. Go to the left of where the eel is until it leaves the window. Go through the window. Regain lost air and swim to the chest. When the water drains out, climb the platforms and get the star.

2- Can the eel come out to play?

Go to where the eel is trapped in the reef and wait to the side of it. When it comes out, grab the star on the eel's tail.

3-

Swim into the underwater cavern and run to the back of the cave. Open the chests in the right order and seize the star.

4- Blast to the stone pillar

Unlock the cannon as usual. Then aim slightly higher than one of the three poles. Jump to the platform with the power star.

5- red coins on the ship afloat

Find the red coins in these locations:

1-4 in the clams

5- on the ship

6- up a pole

7- on the ship

6- Switch star of the bay

Go into the cavern and get Luigi's cap. Hit the red block and hit the switch, then running through the mesh to the star.

7- Through the jet stream

As Wario, hit the red block to sink through the water and jet stream. Get the star.

Cool, cool, mountain

1-

Go down the chimney. On the ice slide, slide to the coins leading into a wall. Follow them to a secret passage. At the end, walk through the door and grab the star.

2- Little penguin lost

At the mountain top, pick up the penguin( not as Yoshi), and jump off the bridge. Slide down to the ice block. Go left and jump to the bottom. Talk to the penguin's mother and get the star.

3- Big penguin race

Follow the first star and talk to the penguin. Decide to race. Race him down to the bottom of the slide( do not cheat). Win the race. Grab your well deserved star.

4- Frosty slide for 8 red coins

Find the red coins at these locations. You must do this star as Yoshi.

Melt the first ice block

Slide to the right and melt the second block.

Fall down and get the coin on the bridge.

On the platform near the second teleport spot.

Behind the far side of the mountain.

Up a tree with an owl in it.

5- Snowman's lost his head

Go to left and talk to the snowball. Agree to lead him to a head. Go down the slope to the head. Grab the star.

6- Mario's Super Wall Kick

Go to the cannon. Shoot at the far away tree under the mountain. Follow the path until the gap. Jump it and walk kick up to the top and the star.

7- Switch star

As Wario, break the frozen pond. Then, go the switch on the mountain. After hitting it, jump off and get your star.

Big Boo's Haunt

1- Go on a Ghost Hunt

Welcome to my favourite level in Mario 64 DS, the ghost house/haunted mansion level of Big Boo's Haunt! For this first star you need to kill all the Boos which are:

1.

In the room in the back of mansion, ground floor.
2.

Same as 1
3.

In the room that is 3rd door from the left, through the front entrance.
4.

Room to the right of 3.
5.

Room to the right of 4.

A 'scary' message will appear so return to the foyer, and prepare to face the Big Boo. To defeat him, either run around and punch him or stand with your back turned and as he approaches, ground pound. Run up the newly appeared stairs and take the star.

2- Big Boo's Merry Go round

For this star, go in the shed to start. Avoid the Mr I and take the elevator down. Follow the hall to the water filled room. Go through a door. You appear on a carousel. Wait for the boo's and kill them and the Big Boo appears. Kill him as in the star 1.

3- Secret of the Haunted Books

This is easy. From the start, go up the stairs and to the second door to the left. Follow the path and hit the books in order to open a secret passage to a shiny star!

4- Seek the eight red coins

Just do as in every other red coin mission...

On a bookcase in the room next door to the piano room.

Get your star.

5- Big Boo's Balcony

Play this star as Luigi. Go to the room to the right on the second floor and back flip to a ledge to enter the attic. Go through the door you see to the left and go through it. Kill the Big Boo. Now back flip to the star.

6- Eye to eye in the secret room

Go to the door to the far right on the second floor. Hit the block to become invisible and back flip to the attic. Run through the painting to meet a huge Mr I. Kill him like a normal sized version and take the star.

7- Switch star of the basement

As Wario, go the basement where there is a black brick block. Smash it and get a cap. Hit the switch and run round quickly to the star.

Hazy Maze Cave

1- Swimming Beast in the Cavern

In this huge world, go to the Black hole region( i.e. to the left when you start). Run down the cavern to the back while avoiding the boulders. Step on the elevator, go down and get on the beast's back. Grab the Wario cap. Jump off towards the island as smash the boulder. Grab your shiny reward.

2- Elevate for eight red coins

Another red coin mission. Sigh.

Well, get the new star.

3- Metal-head Wario can move

Go to the cavern with the swimming beast. Hit the block to turn metal( as Wario) and run down to the switch. Now, go through the door, long jump the gaps and nab a star.

6- Watch out for Rolling Rocks

As Wario, go to the black hole region as Wario. Now, smash the block to get a mushroom, grow gigantic and smash the boulders for a star.

7- Switch star of the cavern

Well, you can probably guess what I'm going to say. Go the construction site, smash the brick, hit the switch and get the star.

Lethal Lava Land

1- Boil the Big Bully

Well, prepare for one simple boss. Follow the path til you reach the big black, round, horned creature and punch it into lava. Get a star. Was that meant to be a boss?

2- Bully the Bullies

Follow the path to the Big Bully and ride the mesh to a round arena. Punch off the bullies( ground pound like hell) and Big Bully appears again.. Defeat him.. again and snatch the star.

3-

For this star, simply take the red coins that are on the puzzle pieces. Take your golden reward.

4- Red Hot Log Rolling

Ignore the title as there is an easy way. From the star, jump to the round platform as Luigi, turn invisible, run along the platforms, jump and bounce through the net to the star!

5- Hot Foot it into the Volcano

Now to enter the volcano. Jump into the volcano when you reach it then:

Go forward jumping over 3 platforms to the ledge
*

Follow it up past flamethrowers
*

Avoid the falling metal wall.
*

Jump over some platforms
*

Cross the narrow bridge.
*

Jump from pole to pole.
*

Walk up and take the star.

6- Into the volcano

Take the path as said, then back flip and spin as Luigi to the platforms and the star.

7- Flaming Silver Stars

Simply get on the shell, collect the stars and get your prize!( a star).

Shifting Sand Land

1- In the talons of the big bird

For this simple star, go straight to a stone structure and get a shell. Surf over the hills near the start and press Z. Now get on a pillar and punch the star away from Klepto.

2- To the top of the pyramid

For this star, enter as Mario. Get a cap and hit the red block. Now get hit and take the power flower. Float to the star.

3- Into the pyramid

For this mission, go right round the level to the pyramid and drop into the doorway. Inside, go right until you can see a ledge above. TRiple jump to that ledge and climb the pole. Walk along and cross the pit by hanging on the wire net. Climb up and dodge the rolling enemy by jumping it. Continue up more stairs and follow the path while avoiding the amps. Climb the pole. Ride the Twomp to the far side of the next narrow ledge and climb up to the star.

4- Stand tall on the four pillars

Go the pavillion as Mario and get the wing cap. Fly to each pillar, ground pounding it until the pyramid roof flies off. Inside, ride the cage to the hole and follow the pathway to Eyerok.

Eyerok-

The simple tactic here is to punch each eye three times. After 3 hits to one, dodge the other's ramming attack and punch it's eye a few more times to win.

Get the star.

Toy box Switch Star-

Enter as Wario and go to the path with the toy boxes. Keeping jumping to the area with the cannon and hit the black brick. Break it and hit the switch. Keep running and long jumping to the star.

Pyramid Puzzle-

Go into the pyramid and where the net you have to cross is, drop. Grab the two silver stars and climb to the top of the pyramid. Drop onto each platform, gaining there silver stars until you fall into the river of quicksand. Ride it to the star.

Free Flying for eight red coins-

Gain the coins from these locations and get the star:

Behind the start.

In a red brick
*

On the path with the toy boxes.
*

In the oasis.

The rest are in the sky, use the wing cap to collect them.

Dire, Dire Docks



Board Bowser's Sub- Swim through the tunnel, in the water to the second area. Hit the switch and either jump or float to Bowser's submarine.

Chests in the Current-

Warning- the whirlpool is lethal! While doing this star, stay clear of the whirlpool or pay the consequences!

For this star, open the chests in the right order. If your health gets low, grab any nearby coins.

Pole jumping for eight red coins-

This is a hard star so I can give only two tips:

1.

Watch your character's shadow
2.

Use Mario's floating ability to reach missed red coins.

After you collect the coins after a lot of effort, get your well deserved star.

Koopa Surfing Switch star!-

Enter as Wario and break the blocks. Get the koopa shell and ride it over the switch, ride it to get the star!

Snowman's Land

1- Snowman's Big Head

Ignore the name and leave this mission until last. Then, go forward until you see a tree and wake up the owl. Fly to the star.

2- Chill with the bully

From the start, go right and straight to an ice arena. Now, just repeat your general strategy for killing the big bully and kill the ice bully. Gain another star.

3- Yoshi's Ice Sculpture

From the start, go straight and get the power flower to breathe fire. Melt the blocks to unlock the star.

4- Whirl from the Freezing Pond

From the start, go past the ice arena until you reach the open area behind it. Keep going until you reach the freezing pond and jump to the island. Bounce off the snowman's head to the higher bank and hit the yellow block on the left for a star.

5- Snowman's Silver Star

Collect these silver stars first:

Near the goomba pen.
*

In the open area past the ice arena.

Now, whirl from the freezing pond and hit the right block for a shell then collect these silver stars:

*

Straight up from the shell
*

Further along that ledge
*

Under the ice arena

Now get the star.

6- Into the Igloo

As Luigi, go to igloo( get the shell, surf up a steep slope and jump the fence.) When inside, hit the red block and drop through the mesh. Take the star. That's it! No catch!

7- Red Coins in the House

For this easy star, simply return to the igloo and nab all the red coins. Grab the star that appears.

Wet-dry World

1- Shocking arrow lifts!:

Note the changes in water level in this world. But as always, there is a quick way to complete this star. Drain the water to the lowest height and stand behind the sticking out section of the step platform. You will teleport to the cannon. Drop of these side and hit the block for a star.

2- Top of the town

For this star, raise the water to the highest level. Now swim to the area with the purple robot and jump to the plank. Cross it and jump up a few more platforms to the star!

3- Secrets of the shallows and sky:

Like in a red coin mission, here are where the secrets are:

*

Push a metal block that is behind the cannon to the left.
*

Hit a yellow block nearby.
*

Push a large metal block into the wall
*

Jump on top of the platform by the amp and hit the block.
*

Hit the block on top of the black cage

Just nab the star( as usual).

4- Express Elevator, hurry up!

For this mission, go to where the cage is. But instead of riding it, as Luigi, hit the nearby red block. Turn invisible and hover through the cage to the star platform.

5- Red coins in Downtown

For this star, first exit downtown in one of three ways:

1.

Via cannon
2.

Float over as Mario
3.

Go through the Mesh as invisible Luigi.

Now, swim to the town. Lower the water level now and if Wario or Yoshi, get the Luigi cap. Now collect the red coins for the star!

6- Quick race through Downtown!

Go to Downtown and become Luigi. Turn invisible now and quickly run through the mesh and ascend the platforms to the star.

7- Soaked Silver Stars

Using the map, collect the 5 silver stars as usual.

Tall, tall, Mountain

1- Scale the mountain

As in Snowman's Land leave this star until last then just fly there.

2- Mystery of the Monkey Cage

On this level you have to make use of another monkey at the summit, not the one that collects caps. First, scale the mountain, FAIRLY( no owl), and attempt to catch the monkey at the top. When you finally corner and capture it, agree to let it go. When it opens and drops the cage, grab the star!

3- Scary 'shrooms and 8 red coins:

This is the familiar red coin collecting mission that's in every world. Play as Luigi. The coins are:

1-4 On the mushrooms( the small middle one is a warp).

5-8 On the climbing area by all the moles.

The star will appear on the mushroom by the moles. Jump there as Luigi and grab it.

4- Mysterious Mountainside

This is the best bit of this mountain, another slide! but if you're reading this, you don't have to bother with the tough slide! First, start as Luigi. Next, use the owl to reach the mountaintop. get the flower and back flip off the top and float to the area with the chuckya. Finally, float off the side and with the remaining invisibility, go through the red mesh to the star! Much easier!

5- Blast to the Lonely Mushroom

If you're reading this, you want a shortcut so here it is. Go to the area by the rolling log as Luigi and back flip then hover to the star!

6- Five secrets of the mountain

All your secrets are in coin rings so collect them by flying around as Mario!

7-

For this, play as Wario. Fly to the bridge with the owl, hit the switch and walk across the bridge to the black brick. Smash it for a star!

Tiny-Huge Island

1- Pluck the Piranha Flower

This star is actually harder than stars 2, 4 and 7! For this star, start off huge on the tiny island. jump to the platform to the far left of where you start and enter the pipe. Now ground pound the log nearest the start and get the mushroom. Now it's easy to kill the huge piranha plants!

2- The tip-top of the Island

For this, start a giant. Now jump to higher ledge with the pipe and enter it. jump up two ledges, cross the bridge and the star's in a block!

3- Rematch with Koopa the quick

First, follow the last instructions to the bridge, drop down to the beach side of the ledge and meet Koopa the Quick, who's still slow at racing. Agree to race and follow the bowling balls until the bridge. cross it, touch the flag and gain a star!

4- Klepto the Condor

Can this be any easier! Just jump to the sea on the tiny island and hit Klepto when he flies overhead. Now return to the area with the pipe needed for pluck the Piranha Flower and back flip hover to the island for another star!

5- Wiggler's Eight Red Coins:

This is red coins but first, how to find them! Go to the island while small and talk to the bob-omb buddy to open the cannon. Turn giant and return and enter the cannon. Aim for the tree on the top ledge so you grab it and walk to the left. Cross the bridge and enter the cave.

Just use the simple map! Don't try to copy it!

6- Make Wiggler Squirm

For this easy star, start out huge and jump your way to the mountain top. Ground pound to drain the water. now turn big and make your way up there again. drop through the hole to enter the top part of the previous star's cave. Now face an easy boss!

To defeat the boss, Wiggler, jump on his head three times. Dodge his attacks then jump and repeat twice to make a strange effect happen after the following story after the battle. Now just take the star. He didn't actually want it anyway!

7- Switch star of the Island

Now for the switch star you probably new was coming up. First, access the cave with the red coins. Hit the switch on the final platform and hover to the star( use Luigi's back flip and hover jump).

Tick-Tock Clock

I don't usually give an intro to a level guide but in this level, watch the main hand on the clock before you enter. If it's at twelve, the clock will stop totally!

1- Luigi in the cage

Prior to actually getting the star, take a shortcut to it. stop time and climb the green platforms to the top. Now pass the cage and climb the platforms to the red block. watch the map , take the flower, drop through the mesh and get a star!

2- Pendulum Switch Star

Odd, I thought levels had one or the other but here there's both! A switch star and silver stars( huge spoiler announcement). If this is easy.... Just go to the area beyond the pole and hit the switch. Jump across to the other side and get a star! They tried to make it harder than the old Pit and the Pendulums star. They failed.

3- Get a hand

Well, don't stop the clock! Make our way to the area with the first hand and jump on it. Ride it to the star!

4- Stomp on the Thwomp

Ok, so this is mega hard! In fact, call me harsh, but being kind I'll let anyone reading figure it out on their own!

5-Timed jumps on Moving Bars

As Wario, stop the clock. Now find your way to above the star and walk off the edge! Pound the block and get an easy star!

6- Stop time for eight red coins

Too easy. Just climb the platforms that normally rotate with clock stopped and get the coins! Collect the star after this!

7- Tick-tock Silver Stars

Just wait. I'm not kidding! The stars will eventually just drop down to you! And why do bob-ombs randomly fall from the sky on this mission?!

Rainbow Ride

1- Cruiser Crossing the rainbow

For this star follow this route:

Jump to the pole from where you start.

Climb the pole

Cross the spinning platforms to the first flying carpets

Take the ride

Take the right carpet to the house

Gain the Mario cap

Float to the ship using the power flower.

Turn into Wario

Become metal

Get the star after all your hard work!

2- The Big House in the sky

For this star follow this route:

Jump to the pole from where you start.

Climb the pole

Cross the spinning platforms to the first flying carpets

Take the ride

Take the right carpet to the house

Gain the Mario cap

Float to the top of the house and grab another star for your collection!

3- Red coins amassed in a maze

Just grab the coins from the maze! If I found it a cinch, so should you! You don't need help for this!

4- Swinging in the Breeze

For this star follow this route:

Jump to the pole from where you start.

Slide down to the platform.

Walk to the platforms

Turn right and cross them.

Go up

Turn backward and cross those ahead.

Climb the wall

Cross the gap

Avoid the flamethrowers and get the star!

5- Tricky Triangles!

For this star follow this route:

Jump to the pole from where you start.

Slide down to the platform.

Walk to the platforms

Turn right and cross them.

Go up

Turn backward and cross those ahead.

Keep crossing, past the flamethrower.

Hit the switch.

Quickly cross the platforms to the star!

6- Over the Rainbow

Just go to the ship as Mario, get a flower and float through the ring shaped rainbow. avoid the chuckya and get the star!

7- Switch Star of the Manor

Return to the mansion as Mario and jump off the balcony to the switch on a platform. Quickly go inside and float to the roof. Gain the last star here.
