You must have heard those people saying Mario games are for little kids, immature babies, whatever. Well, have they ever tried the RPGs, as those are seriously not for kids, and here is why:

Super Mario RPG

Erm... saving the world from Smithy and his army of living weapons while also taking part in things such as saving Princess Peach from being married and finding the real ruler of a kingdom?

Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga

Woohoo Hooniversity and Joke's End are not kiddy, neither are the parts where the town is being obliterated by Bullet Bills from the sky and great big craters are in every part. Like in Woohoo Hooniversity, you find how the teachers have been transformed into weird monsters who fire laser beams, and viruses. Or just Bowletta's existance. Or Joke's End, that miserable ice palace, or Mario falling ill because of a mushroom.

Paper Mario 2

Come on, you see the mafia gangs fighting, there's organised crime, petty thieves, a forest in monochrome with an evil organisation taking over a tree, a town where people are turned into pigs when the bell chimes and Doopliss steals your identity. And The Glitz Pit mysteries and wrestling matches, or Chapter 6 which is a mystery which involves a plan to blow a train to smithereens. Or the fact it is about the revival of a demon to destroy the world, or how Grodus threatens to kill Princess Peach.

Mario and Luigi Partners in Time

The whole game. The Shroob Invasion, the Toads in Hollijolli Village by abducted into Shroob spaceships, the music there and the fact they pretty much ruined Christmas, Yoob eating Yoshis where they end up in some kind of factory for unknown purpose. The Vim factory using Toad souls as spaceship fuel. The ruined Toad Town and music. The many Shroob monsters transforming things into purple mushrooms. The final battle against the Elder Princess Shroob. Need I go on?

I was playing Paper Mario 2 recently, and Twilight Town does make you quite sad after a time, hearing the theme music and seeing how the area is in permanent twilight.
