View Full Version : The Missing Water Temple?

Not sure about this, but I have a new set of theories about what may have been intended to happen for the third temple and area. For one, let's see what we can work out from Greatfish Isle:

The area would have been a small village community area.
Judging by the boats lying around and various rafts, the people here were probably kind of connected to the sea in some way, and a decent chunk of their island would have probably been a lake.
A dungeon would undoubtably been enterable from this point, probably from either a building, or underwater opening accessable via the Water Boots (maybe they allow Link to go underwater for short periods of time?)Now, there would have been a sage from here as well in my personal opinion, and you would probably have to get another special item to enter a third temple. Now, possible places for the special item to be:

Needle Rock Isle (I think that 'guiding the lost soul in darkness' or the like would actually have been related to getting a special item via doing something here. The rupees seem too little for this place).
Islet of Steel (maybe the decorations on the wall below mean something?)
Various other possible islands. Now, the temple, I am guessing would be to the East or West. Note how the two existing temples are opposite generally, at far ends of the map? I think the possible third and maybe fourth would be opposite with one at the West, and one at the East.

Discuss...

well WW seemed to be missing a few dungons because of how few there were... most of the game was travling thou an the world was huge although a little empty... TP fills empty to thou..

It's because of how much bigger the worlds are. In Ocarina of Time and other earlier games, the world only felt small as it was limited in size and all the parts were closer together, making it feel more alive. But because of the now great expanses of openess, it feels like the world is more empty.

Ah, okay. But yeah, Wind Waker did have more sidequests, it was just so large it felt most of the Great Sea was a bit empty.

Exactly. Some islands were wasted opportunities, and could have been made bigger.

I know. Too many examples to list really. And how you could not get on the top of the Islet of Steel or Needle Rock Isle without an Action Replay.

Possibly, but probably not, as it has been in two games already. Probably had something to do with Jabun though.

Yeah, and they may have wanted something different. Think of the possibilities, now there is a boat to use and all, plus many new items and going underwater...

true an under water system would have been neat or atlest an underwater dungeon

Maybe going underwater to avoid search lights and the like such as in Four Swords Adventures (I think it was in there) or to get past barriers and the like, or defeat underwater enemies and an underwater boss.

Picture a Seahat boss! That would be pretty funny. Or the return of Gyorg from Majoras Mask.
