Well, I bought mine before the Lite DS, so why buy another one even though it is brighter? My fingers are pretty big, so I wouldn't be able to handle the Lite one, but I have tried it.

I like the black one even though I don't have it. It doesn't get the hinge cracks as easily and it looks cooler. My brother and my best friend have one. I'm the only person that I know that I know has a white DS lite.

While a good bit of y'all say black looks cooler than white, I beg to differ. I saw how my brother's DS Lite looks (its onyx black) in comparison to my DS Polar White Lite. My sister saw the same difference as me, and played on both of them. After doing so, she said she preferred the white interface over the black one, due to the white controls being much easier to see. I agree highly with her.

Even though many people base their choice of DS color on favorite preference, I prefer my DS color moreso in terms of resource. I'm a more techincally oriented person than an artistic, creative type. I see the world in terms of priorities, rules, purpose, and efficiency. Because the white interface is the most user friendly out of all the color choices, I feel I have the easiest (and most formidable) DS of them all. A new user to a game will adapt easily with white over any other color, and even more experienced players may still prefer white.

This is like automobiles. Black ones are the hardest to see on the road, and white ones are the easiest to see. Any other colors in the visual spectrum are "mediums" per se, with lighter tints being easier to see over darker shades. People who are more technically inclined in life will prefer white, yellow, and pink over darker colors like red and purple automobiles. Just like DS handhelds, cars are easiest to see and handle with lighter colors.

So go ahead and use whatever colors for your DS and car as you like. Just remember, I'll have my perky edge over you in WIFI, unless if you're used to the control scheme with black, well, then... that's another story.

Good point, But you could get a white then customize the outer color scheme. You could paint the outside black, Red, Blue, Etc. but keep the inside white.

I find the black DS Lite perfectly easy to use. And the buttons are still clear, because the A letters and stuff are in white.

Or better yet, If you are proficient at taking apart and putting togather electronics, you could find a willing freind with the opposite color DS lite you have and switch buttons.
