As this is the forum for non Nintendo related discussion, on a Nintendo DS game based site, I feel this could cause a few problems with various fans of different consoles in one forum. So read on, and read this very carefully:
-No flaming or any kind towards fans of any console is tolerated. And just like the other forums, do not flame the game the forum is based around, as if you do not like that game, just do not post, simple as that! And this also means not to flame games or consoles discussed in a topic here or in the Older Consoles and Games forum.
-Do not try and start flame wars between multiple groups of fans, as igniting wars here is treated much more severly than taking part in the flame wars.
-No trolling. After seeing a lot of immature behaviour on some larger forums, such as Nsider and Gamefaqs where idiots post troll/joke reviews saying this game is so bad it got 'negative whatever for this and that' and no intelligent points, I hereby declare such trolling forbidden and punishable by harsh consequences.
-Any consoles as old or older than the Gamecube to have the topics posted in the 'Older Consoles and Games forum'.

PS3, 360, or Wii?
Yup, someone finally made the thread. Make sure you have read the red font above before reading on. Don’t think this is just going to be some little “I like Wii”, or “I like graphics and PS3”. No, this is the ultimate topic if really want to find out which system is the best. So, let’s begin with controls.
We all know that both the Wii and PS3 have motion controls. Since the Wii’s whole control scheme is based on motion-sensitivity, you kind of had to tell that it would have better motion-sensitivity. Not taking anything away from Sony’s Six-Axis, just saying that the PS3 isn’t centrally “revolved” around it’s motion control. So, the PS3 has both a “main button” interface and the Wii has buttons that “tangle” in with the whole motion-sensitivity. The 360, on the other hand has only buttons on it’s controller. Not saying that’s a bad thing at all, seeing how there have been so many games that have succeeded and then some with only buttons [ex. GRAW, GRAW 2, Oblivion, Gears of War, and the sure to be great HALO 3]. Each system has wireless controllers, and all the controls are fine.

Now for the messy situation, graphics. We all know that the PS3 is technically better at producing graphics. And we have seen some nice looking games even if they are as simple as the downloadable “fl0w”. The 360 comes in a close tie for second, but still looks fantastic enough for me. Ok, we all know that the Wii has the worst graphics out of the bunch. But, Nintendo has gone by a “policy”, I guess you could call it; “gameplay over graphics”. This is oh so true as we head into our next session, gameplay.

A true beast when it comes to graphics, and size.
This is the section that I know for a fact will make many people disappointed, but don’t worry, I will not use opinion, I will only use fact. The PS3, 360, and Wii all have excellent gameplay, but who really has the best. It will be hard to continue since I am not truly comparing any specific games, but systems. The PS3 has a great button interface that is easy to get used to and the Six-Axis adds as a nice little bonus for some games that have found how to use it to their advantage. The Wii has the most “difficult” control scheme for most people since Nintendo has never really kept the same controller ever. All there controllers have been different; the NES, SNES, N64, GC, and Wii; while Sony has pretty much kept there’s the same since PSX. Same with XBOX. The Wii’s motion sensitivity also takes “a bit” to get used to. Still though, the 360 is right there, doing everything that is supposed to be doing correctly [no pun intended]. This leads me onto my next topic, price.

Good for games; now isn't that a good thing!
We all wanted to shoot ourselves when the PS3s’ price was revealed. $499.99for the [little] 20 GB, and $599.99 for the 60 GB. We all know that Sony has always been about more than just gaming. And since the PS3 is also a Blu-Ray player, a storage for all things multimedia, and an internet connection, there was no doubt that it was going to cost a pretty penny. The 360 is a decently priced piece of gaming machinery, since it can play DVD’s, multimedia, and downloadable content. The Wii on the other hand is more of a gaming console then the PS3 or 360, but it does have Wii-Channels that will be constantly upgradeable and otherwise. Which leads me into my next topic, backwards compatibility.
I figure this one will be best in a simpler [than paragraph] form.
PS3 - PS2, PS1, and downloadable content on the PStore.
360 - XBOX [with downloadable update], and downloadable content.
Wii - GC, and downloadable content on WII VIRTUAL console [VC].

Fun Factor is also an important part in video game systems. This one is strictly opinion, so no hating, please. The Wii is a very fun system for all ages. The XBOX is good for most ages, though it does contain a large amount of M-Rated games, though this is also strongly because of the newer graphical capabilities. And PS3 is also good for all ages since it boasts both gory shooters and well designed platformers. All the systems are fun, and like I said this topic is strictly based on opinion, so I will let you decide.

“Let-It-Grow”. We’ve seen this happen with many systems. The DS is a perfect example. At first the DS had a very poor gaming library because developers were still trying to find out what they could do with the machine. After about Q3, the Ds had a decent library. After two years, the DS now has a fantastic library of games. This is all too true with both the Wii, and PS3. The 360 was pretty good about it’s games since the start [hence no motion-sensitivity]. But I believe, that in time, the PS3 and Wii will both have a good gaming library; and that this years E3 is going to be a good one.

[B]OTHER: - The Wii does not come with internet right out of the box, but the PS3 and 360 do.
- The PS3 is powered by cell-processors which have not been used to there highest ability “yet”.
- The 360 is currently the best-selling system, but for the time the Wii has been out compared to the 360, the Wii is practically doubling the 360’s sale figures.
