well im gonna pretty much review metroid prime hunters for the DS

start with some pros and cons

pros:
-doesnt take long to learn the controls
-although lacking graphical capability, it makes up for it with superb gameplay
-in my opinion, greatest FPS for the DS of this time
-getting a kill is more satisfying in thsi game than others because 1v1 battles can last up to about 10 minutes because of amo and health pick ups
-^^^yes that is a good thing

cons:
-scratches can be found if u use the touch screen to aim
-L button may be a bit worn out after a while
-if ur into graphics well...they can be shifty
-ur morph ball camera might go into funky camera angles in singleplayer mostly
-HACKERS, the game has been out so thus resulting in hundreds of hacks

Additional info

-learning time: 10 minutes
-Total gametime from start to finish on average-about 30 hours if u do everything
-uses dual screens to make the gaming fun,FUN
shown below

http://www.generationmp3.com/generationds/images/news/Jeux/mph01.jpg

the bottom screen is used for aiming and it is touch sensitive, very fun.
top screen shows your hunters field of vision, spans pretty far and is life-like

available hunters
TRACE-sniper of the game, will go partly invisible if u stand still in biped form and when in alt, u are invisible
SPIRE-immune to lava and can give magmaul burns
SYLUX-uses shock coil very cool which drains enemy health bar to fill yours
WEAVEL-use him to glitchWariosmily and in alt form, fires battlehammers
NOXUS-uses judicator to freeze enemys and is the "cool guy" of the game
SAMUS-your old pal from the days of the SNES, not much has changed with her but is the favorite next to trace
KANDEN-special weapon is the volt driver which will home in on yoou, hell give u a run for your money with those things, u just keep running!

NOTICE:ALL PLAYERS CAN USE ANY WEAPON BUT UNLESS USING THE SPECIAL CHARACTER WITH THEIR SPECIAL WEAPON, IT WILL NOT DO THE SPECIALTY...I SED SPECIALTY 3 TIMES,I KNOWFlyGuy|

pretty good job.
just the last 3 bounty hunters need to be put into "" brackets.
good review though.

i'd ask cheat-master to rename it METROID PRIME HUNTERS REVIEW and ask him to sticky it since it's a review.
so send him a PM and he'll change it and sticky it for you.

Good. job.

Nice, and also, that one picture of gameplay you have is actually a Beta screenshot, and the weapon is not in the game. Wonder what it was?

Nice topic, and I may sticky it. However, I am quite curious as well to what the weapon in the beta screenshot is, and what purpose it was going to play in the main game. Any ideas?

If you use the edit feature, change the "would-be pictures" w/ the thingys then it will get a sticky... but you need to add those.

good jobEzlo}

woah... the only really bad thing about this review is the fact that the graphics is the BEST for the DS, not lacking at all.

ANYWAY.... kanden sucks after wifi experience with him:p
Kanden isn't that bad. While he isn't my favorite hunter (Trace is), he can be quite lethal with the Volt Driver. Charged shots do large amounts of damage and home in on targets, not to mention the area effect visor scrambler, which is great for confusing frays where enemies are hopping everywhere. His alt even as a small jump ability, if aligned properly with the bombs. Unfortunately, his bombs, much like Samus's, can be ineffective on multiplayer due to lag, as I've had many matches where I run around dropping bombs on a player, only to have them sit there and take no damage (they weren't hacking.)

Also, I wanted to add my overall opinion on this game. It's strong point was in multiplayer; hackers, glitchers, and D/Cers aside, it was and still is the greatest Metroid multiplayer expierience to date (not that it has a lot to go up against), with a large multitude of maps, several hunters, and hours and hours of endless fun to be had with friends and strangers alike, not to mention the multiple game modes. AND, even if you don't like wi-fi, you can still go up against Bots, which you can treat as a regular multiplayer match, even being able to adjust their difficulty level.

Where MP:H falls short is in the Adventure mode. Yes, it is a DS game. The graphics, size, and overall gameplay are expectedly toned down. However, the Adventure mode simply lacks the amount of...well, adventure, and exploration that the previous Metroid games had. The bosses were repetitive, and it just didn't quite capture the true Metroid expierience one would come to expect from the franchise.

MP:H, all in all, is a good game. A great game, even. But with all games, things could've been better. It is possible that due to the extensive multiplayer feature, the developers just didn't have as much time to put into the Adventure mode. If ever there is to be another Metroid installment on the DS, hopefully the expierience will be a bit more evened out, capturing the exploration aspect a bit better than MP:H did. Only time will tell...in the meantime, we'll have to stick with what is probably the greatest FPS on the DS yet.

I think only one of the console ones had multiplayer, and that was local multiplayer only.

So true, and also by far the most complex game on DS wifi (Mario Kart Wii and Smash Bros Brawl are close to matching if not beating it in depth for the Wii though).

Where MP:H falls short is in the Adventure mode. Yes, it is a DS game. The graphics, size, and overall gameplay are expectedly toned down. However, the Adventure mode simply lacks the amount of...well, adventure, and exploration that the previous Metroid games had. True, because they were lazy enough to only have about two major bosses, each of which had like 4 versions. This should have been improved, and some classic Metroid bosses would have been a great idea. To add to that, they still weren't nice enough to make the bosses only 2 scans rather than 8, despite the boss forms being near identical.

MP:H, all in all, is a good game. A great game, even. But with all games, things could've been better. It is possible that due to the extensive multiplayer feature, the developers just didn't have as much time to put into the Adventure mode. I'd believe that the single player was rushed compared to the multiplayer. And a sequel would be nice, even in the way that it would revive the wifi community a bit.
