We really need a better banner

Well, after some short looking at other forums powered by this forum software (vBulletin), I realised why this site looks semi lacking, and one is that the nav bar itself needs a new styling (we have the images, now the links need editing) and that the banner is basic as hell, and really lacking in the originality front. So, because of this, here is the contest:

Using either official art, sprites (own or online ones) or hand drawing, design a new logo section for above the navigation bar and stuff to make it look more interesting. Maybe also make it look less default and more custom as well?

I have a nice banner underway for the main site, but this forum will have a less Mario and more Nintendo general banner.

That's why forums should always be viewable by guests. That and his banner was not great.
