As we all know, Nintendo is pretty new to the idea of online gaming, and therefore a lot of things seem pretty stupid ideas, so do you wish wifi was better organised, and how would you organise it better?

I personally would allow you to add people to your friends lists after playing them, choose who to go against before the game starts and also have bans on those who disconnect repeatedly, to teach them a lesson! What would you have?

I have it set up.. but i did the same thing 5 times...
and it magically workid the 5th time.

Make the signal better. I have five wifi games. Mario Kart DS, Tetris DS, *Starfox Command*, Diddy Kong Racing DS and Final Fantasy 3 DS. I want to play online again but I can`t because I don`t have a better access point.

Do you have a boardband? I don`t and I have to use someone elses access point. Just to let you know that I post using a PSP and using someone`s access point. My DS keeps disconnecting or not connecting to wifi.

wow you type it all by psp.
that sucks... and you NEED broadband!
i can reach 3 of my neighbors because they're rich and have those like "N-Card" routers or w/e that reach like 200 feet. it's crazy... but i still bought a wifi max even though my neighbors are stupid enough to have no security... ha but noones where i live is going to hack them.

The boardband won`t work if the computer doesn`t have internet.

Symerwizkid22
4th April 2007, 09:42 PM
i know.
i'm just saying, that sucks badly 1/2.

I use a wireless router connection, no physical internet connection required.

It sooooo slow!!! haha

Luis

But at least I have free internet in the PSP. How you setup a boardband anyway? I never had one

Not sure really, as I am a website expert, not a computer general one.

You have to have internet access from a ISP [internet service provider]
Ex. Time Warner Cable, Adelphia...

You WILL need to pay money and you will need to have an electrical box in front of your house. You will also need a modem, and a router to connect your ethernet from your modem to your roiter through your house and into your computer. It is costly.:)

Luis

Costs money? I thought wifi was free. That seems to be too much work you have to do there. That`s why want wifi to be easier to connect to.

Symerwizkid22

wifi = ISP [internet service provider] $$$/monthly
+
modem $$$
+
Wireless Router $$$
= WIFI!!!

wifi is minus the cord connecting... but do you have a notebook???

Luis

So your saying I have to pay to keep an access point alive until the internet gets cut off?

So your saying I have to pay to keep an access point alive until the internet gets cut off?

IF YOU:

have a pc...
just get a wireless adapter so you can pick up your neighbors internet w/ that and literally "steal" their internet IF IT's RELIABLE!

or... just buy a notebook IF YOUR NEIGHBOR'S INTERNET CONNECTION IS RELIABLE ENOUGH.

help you??

Yes, or whoever pays for your house internet access does.

I am using someone elses internet. That`s what i`m posting right now. I have to stand by the window which I hate. I don`t know what happen to the other signal that I use to be on the internet on my bed. I still wish Nintendo could make wifi better.

it's not nintendo's fault at all, it's your wireless internet connections... or i should say your neighbors:)

Maybe because they did not want him to use their internet connection?

Symerwizkid22
5th April 2007, 07:11 PM
haha it sounds to me like LUIS is lying... because he can type pretty darn quick on a psp... almost
too quick.

cheat-master30
7th April 2007, 08:00 PM
Nothing can be as easy as typing on a normal computer though.

Luis
7th April 2007, 08:14 PM
How can you tell that I type quick?

cheat-master30
7th April 2007, 08:18 PM
Good point there. Oh, and I have a new idea for wifi, they could have it so the power button locks and cannot be pressed when connected to wifi, that way disconnectors cannot use it!

Luis
7th April 2007, 08:25 PM
I thought about that before. They would have to break the DS to disconnect on people.

cheat-master30
7th April 2007, 08:29 PM
Probably, and even if you can disconnect, you would get a ton of losses, and the opponents get double the wins.

Luis
7th April 2007, 09:07 PM
Tetris DS doesn`t have much disconnectors. If someone disconnects, your wins go up.

cheat-master30
7th April 2007, 09:46 PM
Now that's how DS games on wifi should be! Fair to those disconnected against!

Luis
8th April 2007, 04:58 AM
Sadly, it`s that only DS wifi game that I know that has the power to give you a win when your opponent disconnects.

NintenDan
8th April 2007, 05:08 AM
Well, Nintendo should continue just that! But then, hacking might go up...

Luis
8th April 2007, 05:09 AM
What kind of hacking?

cheat-master30
8th April 2007, 11:31 AM
Good point... wait, hacking so that when people use an item or something, the game freezes and they are disconnected automatically.

Luis
8th April 2007, 06:09 PM
That happen to me before in Tetris. Someone freeze the game and I was disconnected from wifi and my looses went up. They want to steal points.

Symerwizkid22
8th April 2007, 06:23 PM
AR is not hacking!
all i had to say:)

cheat-master30
8th April 2007, 10:31 PM
Same. Hacking requires skill and code creation by you, not some pre made codes on a device from a shop.

Symerwizkid22
8th April 2007, 11:23 PM
yup... AR is multiplayer accessable code database.

cheat-master30
8th April 2007, 11:31 PM
It's good for beta research, but real hacking is more complex by far.

Symerwizkid22
9th April 2007, 03:35 AM
yeah... but if you get it... just use it ONLY in online play PLEASE.
but people don't.:(
