Mario Kart 64

My second game for N64 and the first Mario Kart I played. There are a lot of shortcuts in this game. Warning: You Peach race track? Watch out for one CPU in this track. There is a chance that one CPU will be in first place far away when your in first place your racing normal. I hate when that happens. Is a glitch and it can force you to be in second place. But you still have a chance to catch up with better items. Did this ever happen to you. They will teleport to first place out of no where in this track.

I have not played this much, but the amount of awesome glitches in this game is great, many of them allowing for 0 second records or something (lap glitches).

The enemies will catch up to you no matter how far you are.

There`s a shortcut in Choco Mountain where you can jump to the high part of the mountain. The part where the rocks are. You can skip that and jump on the wall.

I never got to try, but it is the first thing I will do when I can get the game via Virtual Console.

I know most of them. Wario Stadium has three shortcuts. Is a big stage and you can finish it in under 01:30:00. The first one is at the begining by jumping over the wall. The second is where the big tv screen is and the third one is kinda the useless sometimes. If you did the second one, there`s no need for the third. The third one is where you almost to the finish line and jump over the jump and you`ll be there.

What about the one in Rainbow Road where you jump off the side off the track just after the start and land on part of the track just before the ... 380-ish degree upwards sloved curve surrounding the star.

I couldn`t do that. I only know the normal one. You did it before?

Mariokart64.com? That brings back memories, first forum I ever joined and the world record site for the Mario Kart games, where I find out things like the best kart choices.

Toad, Yoshi and Peach are the fastest characters. The rest has the same speed.

yes.
mkds screwed me over because i naturally thought bowser was slow... but has the fastest speed! i was like wtf bowser being the fastest??
i use yoshi/ROB in egg car all the way!

The ROB car is the first kart which is good as well as having a high top speed.
