First, I have just got to say I have proven the third world fortress boss in Yoshi's Island DS cannot kill you in one hit, as after letting Yoshi become fish food in 3 different ways, the only effect was him being eaten for like 6 minutes and being spat out 10 foot in the air. Just saying there is probably no instant death attack.
Secondly, if you fall in the water in level 3-1, where the raft moves, you are instantly eaten alive, with no chance to escape. Tough luck anyone who thinks they can swim to the end.
Thirdly, I have gone through the Pit of 100 Trials again in Paper Mario 2 using the Danger Mario set up, and it was easy, because each attack did 19-25 damage to an enemy, and multi bouncing allowed the destruction of all four powerful enemies on screen in one turn.
