My touch screen isnt working very well on SM64DS when i close the DS it turns off instead of sleep mode and on mario kart when i close it every light on the console except the charge light starts flashing and making a rapid clicking sound like the DS can't decide to go to sleep or not help!

Sounds like cables are weak and losing their connection. Your sensor for closing must be broken. Best way would be to get a repair. THat's what I'm doing for my many problems.

When I played on SM64DS last, and put it to sleep mode, all I heard was "Bye-bye. Da-ding. It's-a me, Mario. Bye-bye. Da-ding. It's-a me, Mario. Bye-bye. Da-ding. It's-a me, Mario. Bye-bye. Da-ding. It's-a me, Mario. Bye-bye. Da-ding. It's-a me, Mario. Bye-bye. Da-ding. It's-a me, Mario. Bye-bye. Da-ding. It's-a me, Mario. Bye-bye. Da-ding. It's-a me, Mario."... in otherwords, it was acting as though I was constantly opening and closing the lid... <_< rather like you described with MKDS <_<

^Can you and Espio Dude video this stuff? Sounds cool. Plus, some more stuff to put on the Broken DS section of the website in future.

I have a problem with my DS, this is minor but, when i first got it the top screen had a small rip in it.

Nintendo repair is the best option. I have a scratch in my top screen of my DS, and I don't know how it got there, as I am super careful of not touching my screens except the touchscreen, which I have a screen protector on. Bowser}

The only time I touch the top screen is when I'm wiping off spit. Not really any other time.

Yes, repair is the best option. They should repair it for free due to the problem being there before your warranty expired.
