Well, Runescapes been updated, the Main page looks soooo much Different, and your Characters do do. (well not so much different for them)

Talk About if you like the New changes, or just talk about Runescape like in the other 4 or some Runescape topics.

I like the up close images of the faces and such, the sparkly eyes are kinda fun to look at. However the images you have to watch while you're fighting and such are UGLY.

Your arms look like melted rubber, your armor is fatter then ever on the girls (their legs are 3 times bigger then their arms and are really fat after you put armor on them). Your short hair look, on the girls (which I use), looks more manish then it used to. I took it as a boy cut, which I thought looked cool.

I thought the update was optional. You did say the old graphics would be there if you didn't want to switch. I CAN'T FIGURE OUT HOW TO GET TO OLD GRAPHICS. It was supposed to be a third option! Not a default option you can't change.

I'm so irritated, I look at it and want to barf.

This update should not have been forced on people.

16 June 2008 - Development Diary and System Specification (http://news.runescape.com/c=88029e6/newsitem.ws?id=1244&dir=n)
In the first Development Diary on our graphical improvements, we showed you the results of textures, texture blending, shadows and fog. In this, the second and final Development Diary (http://www.runescape.com/c=88029e6/kbase/view.ws?guid=diary08b) on the release, we shine a light on the other effects we have been using.

Minimum specifications:
To play RuneScape's new detail level you will need:

1.5 GHz processor or higher
256MB of RAM or more
64MB 3D Graphics card, such as Nvidia(R) GeForce(TM) 3 or above

Additionally, your graphics card should have the latest drivers installed, to ensure the new detail level plays with no problems.

If you need more information on your computer's specifications or how to update your graphical drivers, visit our Tech Support Forum in the RuneScape Forums.

When the graphical improvement is released, you will be able to increase or decrease the number of graphical features that are activated. This will be done in your in-game 'Options' menu (the one with the spanner icon). So, any problems playing the new detail mode may be lessened by reducing the number of graphical features that are activated.

We would advise that your computer exceeds the above requirements, so you will be able to play the new detail mode without any issues.

REMINDER - The existing Low and High Detail will still be available, as the graphical update is completely optional.
