Too scared to move?

Anyone remember how in the areas with ghost Pokemon in Red and Blue, you had to use the Silph Scope to make them appear as catchable, fightable pokemon? I mean, how come your pokemon, as tough as they are instead are SCARED by something that simply said:

'Get out...'

I mean, I would not have thought a Mewtwo or even stranger, a Gengar would fear random ghosts.

True, while a human may run, why would a legendary pokemon or a ghost type (or in later games, a dark type) be scared of a ghost? I mean, pokemon like Gengar ARE ghosts!

Not really, especially with how you can see the ghost. And if you catch a certain kind of Missingno, it will have the ghost sprite which you can use to in battle and the like.

i think he's saying like if in real life you hear a voice say "Get out" and cant see anything in the direction the voice came from.
