Okay, here is the quick faq to the main website for anyone that needs it, as written by me now with no help. I hope this is a nice bit of extra information for you.

Why was the website started?

To be fair, it was started simply because there was a bit of a gap in the market, and very few overall Nintendo DS resources. Yes there were tons of clans. Yes there were sites which supplied no more than cheats and reviews and yes there were online databases of friend codes. But no general info site for games like Super Mario 64 DS.

Who was the site author?

I have always been the main administrator, and the main content writer for the site in general.

What kind of content does it provide?

Generally useful stuff, but also various fun activities and mini games. Glitches and codes are one of it's main focuses, as are articles, in depth guides, beta/debug information and the forum here. We also add things if they seem like fun additions, such as quizzes, games, parodies, etc.

Nintendo DS Games Covered

So far, we hope to mainly cover information about Nintendo first party major series such as Mario, Legend of Zelda, Pokemon, Metroid, etc. At this time, Super Mario 64 DS, Mario Kart DS, New Super Mario Bros, Mario and Luigi Partners in Time, Metroid Prime Hunters and a few others are covered most by the content.

Nintendo DS Games not covered

We generally don't cover minor games, or film/TV/novel/radio tie in games.

Can I be an affiliate of DS Ultimate?

Yeah, go to the affiliates page and the requirements are at the bottom, just past the long list of current affiliates and links to other websites.

Can I submit content?

Post it on these forums, or send by private message. I'll give the email address if it's a huge file.

What are these games? Luigi's Lost, Ghoul Medal Quiz, New Super Mario Bros Quiz...

These are quizzes which you can complete to win a signature add on or something. And remember, the first one is far harder than the Luigi missions in game, and the second two require knowledge not required in game to complete.

What are these fan listings?

Lists of fans of a topic, and they're just for fun. They also have a good deal of information about the topics of the fan listing, so they're useful resources for information on obscure characters. There are also anti fan listings or hate listings which are lists of those which hate certain characters.

Can/How do I submit content to DS Ultimate?

If you have any content to submit, you can submit it to DS Ultimate by just posting it in the forums. If it's a good guide or piece of content, I'll probably ask if I'm allowed to add it to the main website. Say yes at this point. If you want to write articles regularly, please apply to be an article writer and get access to the article submissions forum.

I have found a mistake/rumour/error/typo in the content so...

Send me an email/PM or topic on the main site pointing out the exact error in question and ideally, the correct answer. It will then be changed.

I have this great cheat or hint for a video game and...

Post it on the forums so that the members can test if it actually works, and if it does, then I'll probably add it to the main DS Ultimate site with credit.

I saw DS Ultimate content on another site... can you get them to remove the content?

Depends. Post the link to the offending site on DS Ultimate (complete with nofollow BB code to stop Google giving them pagerank for the website), and we'll probably look into it. Not as if there's usually much to worry about it, only a couple of days after sites like this are found, there's usually at least 20 DS Ultimate members going over there and giving them a good piece of their mind for stealing content, which has usually got most sites to remove the content very, very quickly. Plus, any site stealing content frankly isn't going to be around long due to a lack of popularity anyway.

Oh, and some content on DS Ultimate is public domain, so anyone can use it without credit. My sprites and some other things count here, and I would actually complain more if someone was forced to give me credit for this stuff rather than if they didn't.

I have this project, can it be added to DS Ultimate or made into an official DS Ultimate project?

Most probably, just ask. That's what happened to the DS Ultimate Game and Mario World hack, both of which were tribute projects that became official ones.

How can I beat this boss/level/dungeon/get this item in this video game?

Read the main site or ask in the DS Ultimate forums. I might answer you if I'm online at the time and own said game.

Ask in the forums, and I might explain it. But there's a minor problem with this idea, and that's if you can't understand my original explanation, how the heck are you going to explain my rambling explanation of the explanation?

Do you plan to quit this site?

No. I spent a decent amount on this place, and I honestly hope to eventually make some decent return on advertising/donations/anything else. I also don't have any plan to quit playing Nintendo video games, ever. I honestly plan to run this site until either there's literally zero people reading it ever, or something catastrophic happens. No, unlike the LPers on Youtube, or certain makers of large gaming fan sites, I do not plan to retire from DS Ultimate. Also unlike a few people, I generally don't play games other than the ones I write about it on DS Ultimate, so with the exception of any games prior to the Nintendo DS console release, every game mentioned on the actual sites is pretty much exactly what my gaming collection consists of, to the T. I also do not buy non Nintendo consoles, ever. Remember that.

Cheat Devices; Friend or Foe?

Disclaimer: I've never got games erased by game enhancer devices except when I reverse engineered the unlock stuff codes to lock them back up. Aka, the only time I've lost data is when a code is clearly labelled on DSU as dangerous, or when I changed some values for codes like 'get 150 stars in Super Mario 64 DS' to 'get 0 stars in Super Mario 64 DS'. Ironically, Missingno and the like in Pokemon Red was probably more dangerous to my games (about 16 times data loss so far via glitches) than Action Replay or Gameshark ever was.

For the former, make a Tool Assisted Speedrun of it and I can write a relatively detailed review of what's good and what isn't in about an hour. WARNING: If your boss battles are default, or levels are mere edits of the originals, I will probably rate it negatively. For the second, send me the code and I'll review it. For the final one, send a link and I'll also review it. Give me time for the last, depending on game difficulty and length, reviews might take a while.

10. Can I be a friend of your account (assuming account is cheat-master30)?

Yes.

11. Can I send you an Action Replay code or ten?

Yes, you should post them on the actual forums. Hint: I have the PAL version of all my DS games, so make sure any codes meant for me work with that version.

Sorry, that's 100% private information. Plus, my username sounds more mysterious, and still manages to connect my online activities together like a real name would.

Why cheat-master30?

It was my Lycos username. Okay, it's still my Lycos username. No idea why I chose it for that, I think I just needed some name to use the features at that old HTML Gear site and for an email account. Don't ask me to respond to that email account, my browser doesn't allow me to actually send emails from it for some unknown reason.

Location?

It's been hinted in my posts.

Age? Gender?

Gender = male, age is an adult, aka between 18 and infinity. The last part of that is about as vague as I can get, as well as being as specific as I like to say.

What's your email address?

Use the contact form. If you want the actual email address, you can ask for it in PM via the forums, and I'll probably give it to you. The reason I don't post it? Well, I like to keep spambots from learning it and sending me spam in any form, which thankfully does not happen with it being kept private. That way, I can get only the urgent messages like 'website down', 'affiliation request' or what not.

Friend code? Wii code?

Don't have online for the Wii or DS because I'm too lazy to set it up via the router I use for my internet connection. If I did, I'd give it to you freely and have it in my signature, I like challenging other people at video games and what not.
