Yes, apparantly by a month. It got just that one spam message in, it made no others on DSU forums. My guess is that it was searching for algorithms to post that spam list alongside of, and the query "Best DS Games" made it think to post that advertisement here.
I know, it made me laugh. I was reading through the posts suggesting what games to get for a young kid, when all of a sudden this one message reads "Look at watches!" making the topic shift gears to a new direction because of the long list of watch brand names. It was clearly a spam bot, and I burst out loud in hysterics. XD The song Vigilante by Frank Klepacki: |

Ugh, while it is humorous it also has an annoying side to it. I wonder if cheatmaster can track down the people who are dispatching the spam bots. Now to get back on topic...
As for a game for an illiterate child, the list of choices seems small to me. Even games like Super Mario 64 DS require you to read text from time to time. Pokemon for sure is out of the question, as those games require literacy skill (IE knowing what certain attacks will do). I can honestly only suggest Nintendogs for now. Ok, i have a feeling this will be long >_<.
I have a 5-year old brother that cannot read to save his life yet he is a hardcore gamer. It depends if you are going to spend with them while they are playing. My brother has beaten all of my games except for platinum since he has diamond. Also, Pokemon can be played as long as you explain to him what color each move is depending on type and what move it is. Super Mario 64 DS does not require reading as the map can help you through things mostly. All they need is to explore and get stars. If you will not be helping him over and over until they get things straight, i recommend nintendogs. i cant think of more atm. If you dont like explaining things over and over and OVER again, then don't. But i guarentee that they will get it eventually and it will pay off. ![]() I DO, I RLY DO!!! |

I could play mortal combat [gameboy] with mad skillz at age 5 or 6. My mom didnt know about the rating system so she got me mortal combat but then the fun ended when my mom got her heart ripped out on it. Then she asked this dude how can you tell which games are for kids and he told her about the rating system. After that I never saw mortal combat again.

Guys? Devastator's post was almost more than 11 months after the previous normal non-spam-bot post. The last proper post was back at the end of November last year.
